Larger Brother of the Denza B5 Becomes One of the Fastest Growing PHEVs in China. Hybrid SUV Adds Up to 50 Thousand Units in 80 Days.

The Chinese automotive market gained a new protagonist in 2025: the Fang Cheng Bao Ti7, a plug-in hybrid SUV from BYD that surpassed 50 thousand units sold in just 80 days.

What happened, who announced it, when it was disclosed, and why it had such an impact is clear from the outset, especially because the model is electrified and competitively priced in the country.

The confirmation came directly from Xiong Tianbo, general manager of Fang Cheng Bao, in a statement published on Weibo.

He highlighted that the Ti7 has maintained a “strong pace” since its launch in September 2025, consolidating the presence of BYD’s off-road sub-brand in one of the country’s most competitive segments.

SUV Growing the Fastest in the Chinese PHEV Segment

The accelerated performance shows how BYD’s strategy is gaining strength.

Although the Fang Cheng Bao division is still little known in Brazil, it plays a central role in the group’s diversification.

Thus, the Ti7 was designed to meet consumers looking for larger, more robust SUVs with extended electric range.

The impact is significant because the larger brother of the Denza B5 is becoming one of the fastest growing PHEVs in China, surpassing several recent launches in the Chinese market.

Local prices range between the equivalent of R$ 134 thousand and R$ 164 thousand, making the model competitive against its main rivals.

Imposing Design and Focus on Off-Road Use

In addition to the sales volume, the Ti7 draws attention for its size and more adventurous proposal. At 4,999 mm in length and a wheelbase of 2,920 mm, the SUV is considerably larger than the Denza B5.

The structural setup reinforces this vocation:

Approach angle of 24° and departure angle of 25°;

Wading depth of 600 mm;

Front suspension with double wishbone;

Multilink rear suspension;

DiSus-C body control system;

TSC feature, allowing driving 30 km at 80 km/h even with a flat tire.

So these attributes help explain why the larger brother of the Denza B5 is becoming one of the fastest growing PHEVs in China, especially among drivers seeking durability and advanced technology.

Hybrid range of up to 1,300 km

Another decisive factor for the Ti7’s success is its energy efficiency.

The hybrid setup begins with a 1.5 T engine producing 154 hp, combined with one or two electric motors, depending on the version.

Range and Configurations:

RWD: electric motor of 268 hp;

26.6 kWh battery → 135 km electric;

35.6 kWh battery → 200 km electric;

AWD: additional front motor of 215 hp;

190 km in electric mode;

Total range: up to 1,300 km.

In the Ultra version, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and consumes 4.9 L/100 km on the NEDC standard.

Technological Interior with up to Seven Screens

Thus, the Ti7 also stands out for its spacious and functional cabin. It features five seats, 45 storage compartments, and a trunk of 1,880 liters with the seats folded down.

The more complete versions include:

Cockpit with seven digital screens;

Optional integrated refrigerator;

Ambient lighting;

Premium audio system with up to 20 speakers;

Advanced DiPilot 300 package with LiDAR on the roof and integration with vehicle drones.

This technological set enhances the perceived value of the model, contributing to the larger brother of the Denza B5 becoming one of the fastest growing PHEVs in China in 2025.

Accelerated Growth Indicates a New Phase for BYD

The success of the Ti7 demonstrates how BYD is strengthening in specific niches of the Chinese market.

Thus, the combination of affordable pricing, great electric range, and off-road focus creates an attractive package for consumers seeking versatility and innovation.

So with this, the larger brother of the Denza B5 is becoming one of the fastest growing PHEVs in China, expanding the relevance of Fang Cheng Bao and consolidating BYD as a key player in global electrification.
