Porto Seguro, one of the leading insurers in the country, surprised the market by announcing a strategic partnership with BYD, a renowned Chinese manufacturer specialized in the production of electric cars. The collaboration, revealed this Tuesday (12/12), offers exclusive benefits for those who purchase one of the models from BYD’s portfolio by December 20.

By purchasing a BYD electric car by the stipulated deadline, buyers will receive one year of Porto Seguro Auto Individual, an offer that highlights the companies’ commitment to the safety and satisfaction of their customers.

Rivaldo Leite, CEO of Porto Seguro, emphasized the importance of this partnership in the ever-evolving landscape of electric cars. He stated, “Porto is aligned with insurance trends, especially for electric vehicles. The expectation is that the electric fleet will increase in the coming years, and it is important to have specialized insurance that meets the needs of this type of vehicle. The partnership comes to meet this need, ensuring high-quality services for all customers.”

The vehicles available in this initiative are the 2023/24 versions of the Song Plus, Yuan Plus, Tan EV, and Dolphin EV models.

The identification of eligible cars will be carried out through the chassis, sent by BYD.

After this step, the Porto Seguro team will conduct a detailed analysis during the proposal process.

The insurer will issue a free policy considering the specific conditions of each vehicle variant.

Among the highlighted conditions are: exclusive use for individuals, national coverage, comprehensive coverage of 100% of the FIPE table with a mandatory deductible of 50%, third-party coverage starting at R$ 150,000 (varying by model), personal accident compensation for passengers of R$ 5,000, and availability of a rental car for 15 days.

It is worth noting that the insurance will not be valid for app drivers or those who engage in paid activities in passenger cars.

This measure aims to tailor the offer to the usage profile of the acquired electric cars.

With this innovative partnership, Porto Seguro and BYD reinforce their commitment to sustainable mobility and safety, offering consumers a unique opportunity to acquire an electric car with exclusive advantages in vehicle protection.
