Federal Institute calls for EAD and free course with 200 spots in a 400-hour specialization.
This offering is part of the Open University of Brazil network and follows Notice 11/2025, published by the Formoso do Araguaia Campus.
The specialization will have a duration of 18 months and a total workload of 405 hours, organized into three modules.
Throughout this period, students will take nine mandatory subjects and must prepare a Final Course Project (TCC).
Although the training is primarily offered in distance learning modality, the notice provides for eight mandatory in-person meetings.
These activities will take place at the in-person support campuses and will be used for moments of evaluation, academic guidance, group integration, and TCC monitoring, ensuring closer contact between students and faculty.
According to institutional announcements and specialized portals, the contents address current topics in teaching practice, including active methodologies, use of mobile technologies, digital media, and gamification, always related to the daily classroom and the challenges of EPT.
In-Person Campuses and Spots in Tocantins
In total, IFTO offers 150 free spots for the specialization.
The opportunities are equally divided among five UAB campuses in the state, with 30 spots per unit.
The in-person support campuses are located in Ananás, Dianópolis, Guaraí, Palmeirópolis, and Taguatinga, all in Tocantins.
At the time of registration, the candidate must indicate one preferred campus.
It is at this location that they will participate in the in-person meetings and receive support for pedagogical activities throughout the course.
Since the spots are limited to 30 per campus, the choice made in the application form has a direct impact on competition and the organization of classes.
The training is completely free: there are no charges for application fees, monthly payments, registration, or issuing certificates.
The course is part of IFTO’s public postgraduate offer policy, which operates at different education levels and has been expanding opportunities in distance learning in partnership with municipal campuses.
Requirements to Participate in the Selection
The target audience for the selection includes professionals holding a bachelor’s degree in any field of knowledge, provided that the diploma is recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC).
The area of initial training does not restrict enrollment, allowing participation from teachers, technicians, managers, and other professionals interested in working with educational technologies.
Although open to different profiles, the specialization gives priority to candidates who work or wish to work in Professional and Technical Education courses in state networks, with the possibility of direct application of knowledge in technical schools, professional education centers, and public school networks.
Those who have already completed their degree but do not yet have the physical diploma can also participate in the selection process.
In these cases, the notice allows for the presentation of a declaration or certificate of course completion, accompanied by the academic transcript.
The document must have been issued within a maximum period of one year counted from the date of enrollment.
Enrollment and Classification Criteria
Enrollment is free and carried out exclusively online, through the electronic form indicated in the notice.
The candidate must fill in all requested fields and attach a single file in PDF format containing all the required documentation stipulated in the notice.
The enrollment period remains open until November 20, 2025.
The selection process is simplified, with no exams and no curriculum analysis.
Classification will be made exclusively by order of enrollment, provided that the submitted documentation is complete and correct.
Only candidates who meet all the formal requirements of the notice will be considered eligible.
In case of registrations made exactly at the same time, the tie-breaker criterion will be the highest age of the candidate.
After the 30 spots allocated to each campus are filled, the remaining classified will form a waiting list.
Those approved who have confirmed their registration will take the specialization at no cost, from enrollment until the issuance of the final certificate.
