When financial reality threatens to derail academic dreams, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. An opportunity that could change the course of many Brazilian students is about to come true.

O Santander has just announced the opening of registrations for 1.500 financial support grants intended for undergraduate, postgraduate and technical courses, both in-person and Distance Education (EaD) formats.

This program, known as Santander Undergraduate, offers a valuable opportunity for those who need support to continue their studies.

Registration is open until October 27, and interested parties can register through Santander Open Academy platform.

It is an initiative that aims to alleviate the financial challenges faced by many students, especially those in vulnerable situations.

Santander Program Details

Each scholarship has a total value of R $ 2,4 thousand, which will be divided into two installments. The first will be credited in december of this year, while the second will occur in January 2025.

This amount can be a significant relief for many students who struggle to cover tuition, buy school supplies, and deal with expenses like food and transportation.

Santander's initiative is not limited to just covering monthly fees.

According to the program guidelines, the scholarships are focused on helping students stay focused on their studies, providing the financial security needed to avoid dropping out of school.

Continuing education is essential for personal and professional development, and Santander is committed to facilitating this path.

Partner Universities

Scholarships are available for more than 60 educational institutions associated with the program.

Interested parties can check the complete list of universities in the notice available during the registration process.

This variety of institutions allows more students to benefit from the program, regardless of where they are studying.

The importance of offering these scholarships goes beyond mere financial assistance.

Santander is aware that many students have great academic potential but are forced to interrupt their studies due to financial difficulties.

The impact of scholarships

From 2017, the program has already benefited more than 8 thousand university students in all of Brazil.

Second Marcio Giannico, Senior Head of Governments, Institutions and Universities at Santander in Brazil, this initiative has provided essential resources so that future Brazilian professionals do not abandon their undergraduate studies.

“Our goal is to ensure that everyone has the chance to achieve their academic and professional aspirations,” says Giannico.

Scholarship recipients

The scholarships are intended, preferably, for students who are in a situation of social vulnerability and that present academic excellence.

However, each educational institution will publish a notice with specific program requirements.

The selection of the recipients will be carried out by the universities themselves, which will be responsible for indicating the selected scholarship holders.

This selection model allows educational institutions to better understand the needs of their students and, therefore, distribute scholarships more fairly and effectively.

This also ensures that resources are allocated to those who truly need them, promoting equity in access to education.

The importance of education in Brazil

Education is one of the fundamental pillars for Brazil's development. Unfortunately, many students face financial obstacles that hinder their academic education.

The COVID-19 pandemic has further exacerbated these difficulties, leading to a significant increase in the number of students considering dropping out of school.

That’s why initiatives like Santander’s are so important.

They not only offer financial support, but also encourage continued studies at a time when education has become even more essential for the country's reconstruction and growth.

This is a valuable opportunity for those seeking a quality education but facing financial difficulties.

Santander’s program is an example of how institutions can actively engage in solving Brazil’s educational challenges.

With 1.500 bags available, the chance to fulfill your dream of graduating has never been so accessible.

Interested parties should hurry, as the registration deadline will close soon. Don't let this chance pass you by! Click for more information!
