Ultracargo and Dislub begin bunker operations at the Port of Suape, expanding market advantage for the maritime sector in Pernambuco, with 40 thousand m³ of storage.
The companies Ultracargo and Dislub, recognized for their performance in the logistics and energy sector, have started a new operation bunker at the Port of Suape. This strategic move aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the Pernambuco maritime terminal, a crucial point in national and international trade. The new bunker operation makes Suape even more attractive for trade routes, facilitating the flow of vessels and optimizing your stops.
With a storage capacity of 40 m³, Ultracargo and Dislub provide a robust solution for the maritime supply market. The advantages of having an efficient bunker operation in the port include the provision of marine fuel oil, essential for long-distance navigation. In addition, the new unit meets the fuel demand of vessels in a more agile and safe manner, reinforcing the Pernambuco's leading position in the maritime sector.
Bunker Operations at the Port of Suape
A new partnership has been signed to carry out bunker operations at the Port of Suape, located in Metropolitan Region of Recife (PE). This partnership, which is already in operation, involves the use of marine fuel oil in the maritime supply of vessels.

The new service offers a remarkable market advantage for companies in the maritime sector. With this type of supply, the weight previously assigned to transporting fuel can now be used to carry more goods. This adjustment allows for a cost savings significant and an optimization in vessel travel.
This innovation in bunker service increases the competitiveness of the Pernambuco terminal and benefits the entire production chain, from shipping and logistics companies to the end consumer. The service has four tanks, each with a capacity of 10 m³, totaling 40 m³ of storage capacity, provided by Ultracargo.
Transport and Supply at the Port of Suape
The fuel is pumped directly from the Ultracargo terminal at the Port of Suape to a barge located at Liquid Bulk Pier (PGL) 1. After this initial phase, the vessel is ready to supply another vessel alongside.
The bunker operation was officially announced last Friday (30), during a ceremony at the Suape Administrative Center. 'The partnership signed with Dislub will certainly contribute to the strategic positioning of Suape in the national market.', highlighted Helano Pereira, executive vice-president of Ultracargo. He added that the new business is in line with the search for innovation and operational excellence, which are fundamental for the sustainable growth of the company, and with plans to diversify the range of services offered, reinforcing the Brazil's competitive potential.
Impact of the New Bunker Service
According to Leonardo Cerquinho, from Dislub, the new operation was created to meet a market need. 'Due to the location and cargo concentration profile of the Port of Suape, there is a natural demand for bunker. The new operation will meet this demand with quality and efficiency, strengthening our presence in the sector', he stated.
Marcio Guiot, head of Suape, sees the bunker operation as an additional attraction to consolidate the port as an important cargo distribution center in the Northeast and North of the country. 'We hope to attract new customers and companies, generating more jobs and further consolidating our port as a reference logistics hub in Brazil,' he pointed out.
