JBS Without Borders: A Program of Opportunities
JBS, one of the largest food companies in the world, maintains a permanent selection process for employees interested in working in units in the USA, Argentina, Australia, Canada, and the UK. According to the company, the JBS Without Borders program offers the chance to internationalize one’s career, strengthening the global organizational culture.
To participate, it is necessary to have been with JBS for at least 12 months and to have six months of experience in the role. Fluency in English is not required, as JBS, in partnership with the J&F Institute, offers language training. The minimum education required is complete elementary school, along with specific technical qualifications for each position.
Selection Process and Complete Support
All applicants go through an internal selection process. Approved candidates receive guidance and support, including assistance with visas, airfare, and documentation. Created in 2015, the program initially focused on operators from Friboi and Seara for Brooks, Alberta, in Canada. Today, there are positions for all hierarchical levels and departments in JBS units around the world.
Fernando Meller, HR director of JBS Brazil, emphasizes the importance of personal development: “Our mission is to provide an opportunity for a better future for all our employees. The JBS Without Borders program exemplifies our commitment to offering opportunities both in Brazil and abroad.”
