The Special Edition Concentrates The SUV Offer In Brazil, Eliminates Previous Versions And Bets On An Extended Technology Package, Commemorative Visual And Strategic Positioning Among The Premium Seven-Seat SUVs

The Discovery Sport Landmark Edition marks a strategic shift for Jaguar Land Rover in the Brazilian market by celebrating over 35 years of the Discovery line and, at the same time, simplifying the luxury SUV portfolio. Inspired by the first generation launched in 1989, the special series becomes the only version available in the country, featuring a commemorative visual, high level of technology, seven seats as standard, and turboflex engine — a combination that is uncommon in the national premium segment.

The information was disclosed by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), according to the brand’s official materials and technical presentations of the model in Brazil, which emphasize the intention to reinforce the historical identity of the Discovery without compromising modernization, connectivity, and mechanical efficiency.

Design Celebrates The History Of The Discovery Without Breaking The Identity Of The SUV

Visually, the Discovery Sport Landmark Edition bets on exclusive details that directly reference the model’s trajectory. The front door sills display the mountain emblem accompanied by the inscription “Landmark,” while the external mirrors project the logo onto the ground through LEDs, a feature that reinforces the commemorative and premium character of the edition.

Despite these nostalgic elements, the external design remains aligned with the already known visual standard of the Discovery Sport. The strategy avoids radical changes and preserves the identity of the SUV, recognized for its robust profile, balanced proportions, and lines aimed at versatility, both in urban use and on longer trips and more demanding routes.

This way, the special edition delivers exclusivity without compromising the public’s familiarity with the model, something essential in a segment where tradition and brand image weigh significantly in the buy decision.

Interior Bets On Comfort, Technology And Versatility With Seven Seats As Standard

Inside, JLR focused on elevating the perception of luxury and functionality. The Discovery Sport Landmark Edition is offered exclusively with seven seats, featuring a sliding and reclining second row, enhancing the flexibility of the interior space according to the needs of the occupants or luggage.

The panoramic sunroof is standard, as is the 360-degree camera system, a feature increasingly valued in large SUVs, especially in urban environments and maneuvering in tight spaces. These items reinforce the focus on comfort and practicality for daily use.

Another technological highlight is the ClearSight interior mirror, which uses a camera positioned at the rear of the vehicle to display real-time images. The system ensures visibility even with the trunk fully loaded or with passengers occupying the third row, directly contributing to safety in various driving situations.

Technology Package And Advanced Assistance Elevate The Driving Experience

The equipment list also includes the premium Meridian sound system, with 400 W of power, designed to provide a high-level sound experience in all rows of the vehicle. Additionally, the SUV features a comprehensive driver assistance package, aligned with the demands of the premium segment.

Among the available features are the adaptive cruise control (ACC) and the lane-centering assist, which enhance semi-autonomous driving and reduce the driver’s effort on long trips. The steering wheel with paddles for manual shifting and the fully digital instrument panel complement the technological set and reinforce the modern character of the model.

The multimedia center with 11.4 inches uses the Pivi Pro system, developed by JLR itself. The curved screen consolidates media, navigation, and climate control functions into an intuitive interface that, according to the manufacturer, allows most operations to be performed with just a few taps. There is also wireless mirroring for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enhancing onboard connectivity.

Turboflex Engine, Solid Performance And Expected Fuel Consumption

In the mechanical set, the Discovery Sport Landmark Edition maintains a configuration that is uncommon among luxury SUVs in Brazil. The model is equipped with the 2.0 turboflex Ingenium engine, four cylinders, delivering 249 hp of power and 37.2 kgfm of maximum torque. The automatic transmission is a nine-speed ZF, known for smooth shifts, while the on-demand all-wheel drive ensures better grip under different road conditions.

According to the manufacturer’s data, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h occurs in 8.1 seconds in the seven-seat configuration, with a top speed of 224 km/h. The figures place the model in a competitive position within the segment, balancing performance and comfort.

In terms of fuel consumption, according to Inmetro measurements, the results vary depending on the fuel used. With ethanol, the SUV registers averages of 5.1 km/l in the city and 6.6 km/l on the highway. With gasoline, the numbers increase to 7.2 km/l in urban use and 9.6 km/l on highways, values that are compatible with the size, weight, and purpose of the vehicle.

Simplified Portfolio And Price Position The Model At The Top Of The Segment

The arrival of the Landmark Edition has ended the offer of the Dynamic SE flex and diesel with mild hybrid system (MHEV) versions in Brazil. With this, JLR chose to simplify the portfolio and focus communication on a single configuration, more complete and aligned with the brand’s premium positioning.

The price starts at R$ 484,995, positioning the Discovery Sport as a direct alternative to other premium seven-seat SUVs available in the national market. The strategy aims to attract consumers who value tradition, technology, family versatility, and a complete package without the need for multiple versions.
