In Brazil, Enel intends to apply investments of 5 billion euros, that is, at the current exchange rate, it is more than R$ 30 billion, in the next three years. Which is equivalent to 12,5% of your overall investment plan in the season.
This Tuesday (24), the president of the company Enel, Francesco Starace, stated that the main focus of the company's investments are renewable energy generation projects, since the company has strongly established itself in the Brazilian distribution market.

In an interview, says Starace, about the investment plan for the next three years, Enel aims to level its position in the renewable energy generation and distribution market, in the countries in which it operates.
Focusing on Brazil as the strongest distribution center, the priority of investments is in the area of generation. However, Starace does not rule out the presence in the privatization auctions of CEEE-D distributors, from RS, and CEB, from DF.
Enel adjusts the growth of investments in distribution with Aneel
The company Enel adjusted the volume of investments in distribution, referring to negotiations with Aneel, regarding the economic-financial rebalancing of the agreements, due to the conditions caused by the pandemic.
During the pandemic, Enel's headquarters in São Paulo suffered several protests due to undue increases in the electricity bill, considered unjustified by customers. In August, it signed a Conduct Adjustment Term – TAC, with Procon-SP, thus paying in installments the debts of customers who formalized their complaints.
