Industrial Complex in Uberlândia Brings Together Continuous Operation, Recent Expansion, and Strategic Logistical Role in Ambev’s Structure, in a Model That Concentrates Production Scale, Technical Infrastructure, and National Distribution in a Single Plant.

Ambev’s unit in Uberlândia, in the Triângulo Mineiro, occupies a central position in the company’s industrial operation in Brazil by bringing together production scale, continuous operation, and strategic location for distribution.

Inaugurated in February 2016, the plant received initial investment exceeding R$ 770 million and was presented at that time as one of the largest industrial projects of the company in the country.

At the end of 2025, the operation received another investment, this time of R$ 1.3 billion, aimed at expanding production lines.

Set up in an area of 1.3 million square meters, the factory concentrates manufacturing, bottling, storage, and shipping structures.

Environmental documents from the government of Minas Gerais also register in the complex laboratories, water treatment station, effluent treatment station, industrial warehouses, storerooms, and administrative areas.

This set of facilities supports an operation focused on supplying different consumer markets.

The location in Uberlândia, a city with a strong logistical vocation and road connections with various regions of the country, is pointed out by public administrations and by reports about the company as one of the factors that favors the distribution of production to other states.

In December 2025, when announcing the new expansion of the unit, the City Hall of Uberlândia again referred to the plant as the largest beverage factory in the country.

This classification also appears in reports published in recent years about Ambev’s operation in the city.

Continuous Operation at Ambev’s Factory in Uberlândia

The factory’s routine is organized to keep the industrial lines in continuous operation.

This model involves not only the production stage but also technical support areas, quality control, storage, environmental management, and outbound logistics.

In the public documents consulted, the operation is associated with proprietary water capture and treatment systems, in addition to structures aimed at treating the effluents generated in the industrial process.

The material also records environmental monitoring and technical components associated with the regular functioning of the unit.

The existence of this infrastructure helps to size the scale of the plant.

In operations of this size, the process depends not only on bottling lines but also on a support network that includes laboratory control, maintenance, supply of raw materials, and shipping of loads.

Reports about the unit also describe a constant flow of vehicles related to the production distribution.

This movement is related to the volume processed on-site and the logistical role of Uberlândia in the flow of goods to other regions of the country.

Production Capacity and Industrial Scale of the Unit

The number of 7 billion liters per year has been associated with the factory in recent publications that treat the unit as the largest in Brazil and one of the largest in Latin America.

This data, however, did not appear directly in the public technical documents found in this check.

For this reason, the information was kept as capacity attributed to the unit in recent reports, and not as a confirmed number in a public technical document of the company identified in the investigation.

Caution is needed because the official materials consulted detail more precisely the physical and environmental structure of the complex than the consolidated annual capacity of the plant.

Still, there are objective elements that indicate the scale of the operation.

At the inauguration, Ambev reported a capacity of hundreds of millions of liters per year in initial production lines and presented the factory as a project designed for large scale.

Years later, the new investment announced for Uberlândia reinforced the city’s role in the company’s production strategy, especially for premium and “core plus” categories in the Southeast.

The history of investments shows that the unit continued to be expanded and adapted over time.

Uberlândia in the Company’s Logistical and Industrial Strategy

The presence of the factory in Uberlândia is part of a broader context of industrial and logistical expansion.

Even before the plant’s inauguration, the city already had relevance in the flow of goods due to its geographical position and transportation infrastructure.

With the plant becoming operational, this role gained new scope.

The factory began to concentrate a structure capable of bringing together industrial production, storage, and distribution in a single complex, which reduces intermediate steps and increases the efficiency of the flow.

At the inauguration, reports and press releases informed that more than 9 thousand people participated in the construction of the unit and that the operation started with about 480 direct jobs.

Subsequently, the expansion announced in 2025 confirmed the company’s ongoing investments in the city.

The combination of factory scale and logistical location explains why the unit remains at the center of Ambev’s operation in the country.

Instead of a project limited to the time of inauguration, the Minas Gerais plant continued to receive resources for capacity expansion and line updates.

Brands Produced and Evolution of the Factory’s Portfolio

When it was inaugurated, the unit was associated with the production of beers with wide national circulation.

In the coverage of the time, brands such as Budweiser, Skol, Brahma, and Antarctica appeared among the products linked to the plant.

In the expansion announced in 2025, the company reported an increase in production in premium and “core plus” segments, mentioning labels such as Stella Artois, Corona, Spaten, Original, and Budweiser.

The change indicates an update of the unit’s productive profile over the years, following the company’s commercial strategy.

This movement shows that the plant did not remain limited to its initial design.

On the contrary, the operation underwent adaptations and received new investments to meet specific market demands and increase participation in higher value-added categories.

In addition to production itself, the structure installed in Uberlândia supports the supply to supermarkets, bars, and restaurants in different regions.

The relevance of the plant, in this context, is linked both to the volume associated with the unit and to the ability to integrate production and distribution in the same operational axis.

What Public Data Confirms About the Unit

The documents and public records found in this investigation allow us to affirm that the Ambev factory in Uberlândia occupies an area of 1.3 million square meters, operates with large-scale industrial structure, has proprietary water and effluent treatment systems, and continues to receive investments from the company.

There is also documentary and journalistic basis to record that the unit was inaugurated in February 2016 with investment exceeding R$ 770 million and that it received new investment of R$ 1.3 billion announced in December 2025.

However, some information frequently reproduced in texts about the plant requires greater care.

This is the case of the annual capacity of 7 billion liters, the fuel station within the complex, and the mention of its own fleet, points that did not appear with direct confirmation in the public technical documents consulted.

With these cutouts, the unit in Uberlândia can be described, objectively, as one of the main industrial operations of Ambev in Brazil, with continuous production, extensive structure, and relevant logistical function in supplying different consumer markets.
