The famous YouTuber, Gaba, bought all the Easter eggs available on the market, from Galak at R$ 39 to Ferrero Rocher at R$ 115, weighed each one on the scale, and tasted them all to compare flavor, actual weight, and price per kilo, revealing that brands like Lacta deliver grams above what is advertised while Ferrero Rocher charges the highest price per kilo with only 188 grams of real egg
A YouTuber decided to resolve once and for all the question that every Brazilian has at Easter: which Easter eggs are really worth the price and which are a scam?
To find out, he bought all the Easter eggs available on the market, from the cheapest to the most expensive, weighed each one, and tasted them all to compare flavor, actual weight, and price per kilo.
The results showed that among the tested Easter eggs, some brands deliver grams above the weight advertised on the packaging, while others charge exorbitant prices for little chocolate.

The test included Easter eggs from brands such as Ferrero Rocher, Kinder, Diamante Negro, Garoto Batom, Talento Avelã, Ouro Branco, Negresco, Sonho de Valsa, Galak, and Tortuguita.
Each of the Easter eggs was weighed without the chocolates that come inside to determine how much chocolate the consumer actually receives for the price paid, since many brands include the weight of the chocolates in the total weight advertised on the packaging.
The most expensive Easter eggs: Ferrero Rocher at R$ 115 and Kinder at R$ 100

According to the content from YouTuber Gaba, which aired on March 26, Ferrero Rocher was the most expensive among the tested Easter eggs, costing R$ 114.99. On the scale, without the chocolates that come inside, the egg weighed 188 grams.
This makes Ferrero Rocher the Easter egg with the highest price per kilo on the list.
The chocolate has the characteristic crunchy and velvety flavor of the brand, but the YouTuber concluded that he prefers the individual chocolates to the egg itself, giving it a score of 7 out of 10 for flavor.
The Kinder, at R$ 100, came with exactly 150 grams as advertised and received the best score among all the Easter eggs: 10 out of 10.
The chocolate with a strong milk flavor and a texture that sticks to the mouth is described as perfection in egg form.
The YouTuber highlighted that Kinder is probably one of the best-selling Easter eggs because the regular Kinder Egg is very small, and the Easter egg fulfills the dream of eating the giant version.
The criticism was directed at the toy, which takes up space that could be filled with more chocolate.
The surprise of the scale: the Easter eggs that deliver more than they promise

The Diamante Negro, at R$ 99.89, advertised 494 grams on the packaging, but on the scale, it weighed 551 grams without the chocolate that comes inside.
With the chocolate, it went up to 573 grams.
The Diamante Negro stood out among the Easter eggs that deliver grams above what is advertised, with over 50 extra grams of real chocolate.
The flavor received a score of 8 out of 10, with highlights for the crunchy crystals in the shell, although the proportion between crystal and chocolate becomes uneven due to the thinness of the shell.
The Ouro Branco and Sonho de Valsa, both from Lacta, also came with grams above what was advertised. The Ouro Branco promised 359 grams and weighed 376; the Sonho de Valsa promised 277 and delivered 300 with the chocolates.
Among Lacta’s Easter eggs, the standard is clear: the brand consistently delivers more than it advertises, making it one of the best options in terms of cost per kilo of real chocolate.
The Sonho de Valsa received a score of 8 out of 10, with the YouTuber stating that the egg is better than the chocolate itself.
The Easter eggs with the best and worst cost per kilo of chocolate
The test revealed huge differences in price per kilo among the Easter eggs.
The Ferrero Rocher, with only 188 grams of real egg at R$ 115, has the highest price per kilo on the list. On the other end, Easter eggs like the Diamante Negro deliver over half a kilo of chocolate for R$ 100.
The price difference per kilo between the most expensive and the cheapest Easter eggs can reach three or four times, which means that consumers need to look beyond the pretty packaging to know how much chocolate they are really buying.
Another important point is that many Easter eggs include the weight of the chocolates in the total weight of the packaging.
This means that the consumer thinks they are buying, for example, 350 grams of egg, when in fact they are receiving 300 grams of egg plus 50 grams of chocolates that they could buy separately in the market.
Among the tested Easter eggs, the Talento Avelã had 326 grams of egg and the rest was a 25-gram chocolate, while the Garoto Batom weighed 176 grams of egg with 33 grams of chocolates included in the official weight.
Which Easter egg is worth it according to the complete test
Considering flavor, actual weight, and price per kilo, the Easter eggs that stood out the most were Kinder (score 10 out of 10 for flavor), Sonho de Valsa (score 8, with the egg better than the chocolate), and Diamante Negro (score 8, with over 50 extra grams).
The worst cost among the Easter eggs went to Ferrero Rocher, which despite the quality chocolate, delivers little egg for the price charged.
The Garoto Batom received the most disappointing evaluation: score 4 out of 10, with the YouTuber stating that the chocolate changed in flavor compared to childhood memories.
The Galak received 6 out of 10, with a recognizable aroma but a formula that seems to have changed. The Ouro Branco got 5 out of 10 because the wafer loses its crunchiness in the large egg form.
Overall, among the tested Easter eggs, those from Lacta proved to be the most honest in weight and the best balance between price and quantity of chocolate delivered.
The scale doesn’t lie: not all Easter eggs deliver what they promise
The test of all the Easter eggs on the market showed that pretty packaging and high prices do not always mean more chocolate or better flavor.
Some brands deliver grams above what is promised while others include chocolates in the weight to inflate the total, and the price per kilo of real chocolate varies enormously among the most popular Easter eggs in Brazil.
The best purchasing decision is not to look at the total price on the shelf, but to calculate how much chocolate each egg actually delivers for the price charged.
Which Easter egg is your favorite? Have you ever weighed an egg on the scale and been surprised by the weight? Do you think brands should be required to inform the weight of the egg separate from the chocolates? Leave your comments and share this article with anyone who is going to buy Easter eggs and wants to know which one is worth it.
