Four Ford Mustang GT500s Stolen in Movie-Like Robbery Would Be a Popular Choice for a Quick Getaway, Boasting 760 Horsepower from Its Supercharged V8 Engine.
The Michigan police are still looking for a pair of the world’s most powerful cars, the Ford Mustang GT500s, which were among the four stolen on Sunday from the Flat Rock factory that builds the model. The police have already recovered two of the stolen Ford cars that were taken in a Hollywood-style heist!

There are still no details on how the thieves made their way to the Ford factory, but how they got away with four cars is worthy of an action movie.
Citing police sources, the media outlet The News-Herald, based in Michigan, reported that one of the four most powerful cars in the world was sacrificed to break through a security gate, although the video footage from the site cameras is not available or has not been released.

The police recovered two of the stolen cars after the heist; both were empty, and one reportedly suffered extensive damage to its front-end. The other two cars remain at large at this time. They are described as being painted in “Belladonna black,” which does not appear in the Ford palette. Anyone with information about the theft and/or the whereabouts of the car is urged to contact the Flat Rock police department.
Strangely, as reported by The Drive, a nearly identical theft was reported in July 2017. Two new Mustangs were stolen from the Ford Flat Rock factory; one was used to break through the gate, and ultimately, there was a high-speed police chase. At the time, police investigating the theft revealed that it was not an isolated incident — other Mustangs had been stolen from Flat Rock in the two previous years.
As for the Mustangs, the GT500 would be a popular choice for a quick getaway, boasting 760 horsepower from its supercharged V8 engine.
The police are seeking information about the stolen Mustangs, although tracking a black Mustang in Detroit is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Hundreds of New F-150 Trucks Were Destroyed in Train Accident
A freight train carrying new Ford cars derailed in the United States. According to The Drive, citing Missouri police, the incident occurred last week. The 44-car train was transporting over 400 Ford F-150 trucks, as well as Ford Transit vans, and derailed for unknown reasons. None of the people were injured, unlike the cars that suffered total loss and will have to be destroyed.
The train accident is far from the only issue Ford has faced in recent years with production and delivery difficulties. Due to a global chip shortage that followed the lockdown, over 60,000 unfinished vehicles were stranded, forcing Ford to suspend operations at its factories in July and June.
Earlier, the company announced that it had become unprofitable to supply dealers with many cars in various configurations — this was caused by a shortage of parts that are critical for automotive electronics. Instead, Ford is considering customized versions that will help unload warehouses and improve financial results. The brand has yet to comment on the train accident.
Ford Motor Unloads 450 Cars at ES Port and Will Bring 30,000 Vehicles to Brazil Produced in Factories Abroad
After ceasing vehicle production and closing its factories in Brazil, Ford Motor is now importing vehicles through the Port of Vitória. Last week, 450 cars arrived in the state aboard the ship Torrens. The estimate is that approximately 30,000 cars will reach Brazil annually via Espírito Santo.
Now, the Vila Velha Port Terminal (ES) will be the only entry point for Ford in Brazil. According to Log-In Logística, the company responsible for the operation, the complex will receive around 28,000 to 30,000 cars from the American company each year.
The delivery was accompanied by Governor Renato Casagrande, who also visited the new vehicle storage and handling yard operated by LogIN TVV inside the Port of Vitória.
“We came to accompany and celebrate the importance of the importation of Ford vehicles in Espírito Santo. There will be around 30,000 vehicles per year, imported here by the state, which adds to other brands already imported here. This strengthens the economy of Espírito Santo, Vila Velha, and also Cariacica. The more capacity for investment, the more capacity to create opportunities for the people of Espírito Santo,” he emphasized.
After Volkswagen, Honda, Audi, Volvo, and Renault, Ford Motor Chief Announces the Cessation of Gasoline and Diesel Engine Production to Focus on Electric Cars but Does Not Provide a Timeline
After halting vehicle production and leaving the country, the head of Ford Motor in the Americas, Kumar Galhotra, stated that the automaker has full electrification on the radar. The statement aligns with automotive industry giants like Volkswagen, Honda, Volvo, and Renault, which also recently announced that they have stopped or will stop the development and production of gasoline and diesel engines to invest in the manufacturing of electric cars.
The American automaker confirmed to the market that, while it is still far from knowing when exactly, Ford will be a fully electric brand in the future and will phase out combustion engines to meet new carbon emission standards.
