Before leaving Brazil, Ford had already adapted the Brazilian jeep Troller to the 2.0-liter automatic 10-speed biturbo diesel power train in an advanced stage, when he decided to kill it.
After the departure of Ford as a vehicle manufacturer installed in Brazil, the multinational that decided to continue here only as an importer from 2021, left our Troller T4 with an inglorious end, since both the brand and the jeep, which are of Brazilian origin, must be extinct.

As reported by us at Click Petróleo e Gás, the last unit left the factory in Horizonte (CE) at the end of September and was sold for BRL 300.000. The complex will continue operating until the end of November, in order to produce replacement parts for the remaining examples on the streets.
Ford will not transfer the rights to the brand and the Troller jeep will be extinct
The American company has already warned that it will not transfer the rights to the brand or the utility. And since no one has expressed an interest in buying it, its most likely fate is death. Even sadder was finding out that there was a major update planned for the 2022 Jeep lineup, which would have been applied later this year if Ford hadn't given up on it.
The information surfaced on the Mustang7G forum, made up of muscle car fans. One of the most talked about topics on the page in recent days reflects a LinkedIn profile of a Brazilian engineer who works on global projects for the multinational Ford, found by one of the forum members.
The focus of the discussion is on details that the engineer disclosed regarding the S650 project, which will generate the seventh generation of Mustang. The profile describes the development of two old-new engines for the sports coupe, the 2.3 in-line four-cylinder and the 5.0 V8.
The most interesting one is scheduled for 2023, with a V8 engine — probably the same as the Mach 1 — and another electric one, forming a completely different set from the Mustang Mach-E. There are also plans for a hybrid Mustang with a 2.3 liter engine. The information was checked by QUATRO RODAS, and there is no inconsistency either in terms of dates or in terms of acronyms and other checked data.
Troller with Ranger Raptor engine and Mustang gearbox
In place of the 3.2-cylinder turbodiesel engine and the six-speed automatic transmission of the Ranger pickup, with 200 hp of power and 47,9 kgfm of torque, Ford's Troller jeep would use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder biturbo diesel engine of 213 hp and 51 kgfm.
The most interesting thing is that, in this pickup configuration, the gearbox is a ten-speed automatic, just like the current Mustang Mach 1 sold in Brazil.
But the specialist in product development abandoned the project at the end of last year, at the same time that the choice to close the Ford factories in Brazil was taken.
Since then, the Mustang project has taken off and continues to move forward. Troller, on the other hand, lowered its doors but without Ford giving up its commercial rights. But will the T4 with a Ranger Raptor engine ever get off the ground?
