The multinational vehicle manufacturer Ford announced yesterday, December 8, the launch of the information technology training program in partnership with the Senai Cimatec University Center. The course is a pilot project that will have 100 places, of which 80 will be completely free and targeted at low-income people.

Gustavo Schiavotelo, Chief Engineer of Software and Vehicle Electronics at Ford South America, comments that the company felt the lack of skilled labor when expanding the Product Development Center.
“The goal is to train and enhance talents to work in Software development, an area that offers significant growth prospects, providing opportunities for low-income individuals to enter this promising field,” he states.

Initially, the course offered by Ford in partnership with Senai will be aimed at residents of the state of Bahia, and classes will be conducted online or on-site at Senai Cimatec in Salvador, with flexible hours.
Two tracks will be offered in the course: the “Front-end Track,” designed for those with no prior knowledge in technology; and the “Fullstack Track,” aimed at individuals with technical English, programming logic, and knowledge of HTML and CSS languages.
Requirements:
- must be Brazilian
- be over 18 years old or up to 60 years old
- have completed high school.
- Retirees and professionals transitioning careers can also apply for the vacancies.
