Check the List of Some of the Possible Vacancies That Will Be Opened in the Public Contest of IBAMA

After the announcement of the IBAMA Public Contest in August by Marina Silva, Minister of Environment, the president of IBAMA, Rodrigo Agostinho, brought the topic back to the forefront. In an official letter sent to the Minister of Environment, Agostinho reiterated the commitment and planning for the conducted contest.

According to Agostinho, IBAMA is currently facing a severe staffing crisis, with nearly half of its positions vacant, due to successive retirements, vacancies, and other departures, which have made it increasingly critical to fulfill its institutional mission. It is precisely in this context that planning is underway for a new IBAMA contest to hire new employees.

The institute has a pending request in the Ministry of Management to fill a total of 2,408 positions, divided into Environmental Analyst, with 1,503 vacancies and Administrative Analyst, with 905 vacancies. For both positions, IBAMA requires a higher education degree as a minimum qualification. The current salary for both positions is R$ 8,547.64, already including performance bonuses, as well as a food allowance of R$ 458.

Learn How the Last Public Contest of IBAMA Went

The last edition of the IBAMA contest for permanent employees took place in 2021, providing a total of 568 vacancies, of which 432 were targeted for candidates with completed high school, and the remaining 136 required a higher education degree.

The starting salaries for these positions can reach up to R$ 8,547.64. The IBAMA contest was organized by Cebraspe at the time. For candidates with high school education, the opportunities were directed to the position of environmental technician, with a starting salary of R$ 4,063.34. For higher education professionals, there were 96 opportunities for environmental analyst and 40 for administrative analyst, both with starting salaries of R$ 8,547.64.

In an interview, Lula confirmed once again the demand for employees and the staffing deficit. Lula mentioned that at the end of his second term, the Institute had 1,700 employees and now has only 700, a number insufficient to carry out the necessary work.

It is worth noting that on July 18 of this year, Provisional Measure 1,181 was published, which transforms 1,174 positions of administrative technician, with high school education, into 519 of higher education, as follows:

  • administrative analyst – 366; and
  • environmental analyst – 153.

Another Public Contest Expected

The contest of the State Administration of the Environment (Adema) in Sergipe will be released soon. According to clarifications, there will be 55 vacancies.

On Tuesday, September 26, during the inauguration ceremony of the new president of the State Administration of the Environment (Adema SE), George Trindade, Governor Fábio Mitidieri made an essential announcement that will certainly interest candidates. During the event, the governor confirmed the imminent launch of the announcement for the Adema SE contest.

The inauguration of George Trindade, who now assumes the presidency of Adema SE, marked a new cycle in the environmental management of the state of Sergipe.

During his speech, the governor not only announced the contest but also praised the remarkable performance of the technical director of the agency, Lucimara Passos, who took on the position temporarily.
