With a total workload of 120 hours, the courses are divided into subjects of 30 hours each and cover a wide range of pedagogical areas and content.

The program includes various subjects distributed across several fields of knowledge:
- Natural Sciences: 1,000 slots are offered in subjects such as Environmental Education, Teaching Science in the Maker Culture, and Artificial Intelligence in the Classroom.
- Human Sciences: With 900 slots available, the courses cover topics such as Sociology, Philosophy, and History, focusing on aspects like citizenship, human rights, and cultural representations.
- Special and Inclusive Education: There are 900 slots for courses addressing curricular accessibility, giftedness/talents, and pedagogical resources for students with visual impairments.
- Languages and Codes: There are 900 slots in courses focused on Art, Portuguese Language, and Literature, exploring everything from Art History to grammar and indigenous literature.
- Mathematics: With 600 slots, the courses cover topics such as counting problems and building mathematical applications.
- Teaching Practice: 750 slots are available for subjects that include education on drugs and harm reduction, innovation in teaching methods, and emotional management for educators.
- Educational Technology: The area with the largest number of slots, with 1,150 opportunities, includes courses on assessment with digital media, AI-based digital technologies, and programming artifacts.
Requirements and Registration
Eligible to register for Fundação CECIERJ’s Continuing Teacher Training Program are the following profiles, with priority given to the order of registration: teachers working in public schools for Elementary II and High School in Rio de Janeiro;
licensed or graduated teachers with pedagogical complementation at the same level and state;
licensed or graduated individuals with pedagogical complementation residing in Rio de Janeiro; education professionals currently working in Basic Education in Rio de Janeiro;
licensed or graduated teachers in Basic Education from other states; education professionals residing in other states; and teacher trainees.
Registrations are made through the form available on Fundação CECIERJ’s website.
The registration period runs from August 21 to September 8, 2024.
