Atria Eenergy Has Been Investing in Technology to Integrate Solutions for Solar-Powered Irrigation. Installing a Photovoltaic Plant Can Ensure Fixed Costs for Generation for the Next 25 Years, in Addition to Eliminating or Reducing Diesel Use.

Last Thursday, (07/28), Atria Energy announced that it will start investing in technology and innovation with the adoption of solar energy-powered irrigation systems. Atria’s new projects allow the entire irrigation infrastructure to be powered by photovoltaic solar energy.

Atria Eenergy’s New Investment to Integrate Solar Energy-Based Irrigation Systems Aims to Eliminate a Common Enemy

Thus, Atria Eenergy intends to eliminate a common enemy for farmers across Brazil. This is because farmers face a common challenge when looking to irrigate large planting areas, which is the availability of electricity.

That’s why Atria seeks to integrate solutions for solar-powered irrigation systems, as in addition to the high cost of designing, acquiring, and installing the entire transmission infrastructure, they also face poor quality and stability of this resource.

The emergence and popularization of photovoltaic generation provided some relief to rural producers; however, the solution was still limited due to challenges in storage and continuous supply during periods of low or no sunlight. With this in mind, Atria Eenergy dedicated itself to research and developing an innovative, consistent, and economically stable solution.

This led to the emergence of Atria Agro, an operational subsidiary for photovoltaic energy systems specifically aimed at agribusiness. The new company is the result of this work where the rural producer and the reality of the Brazilian energy sector are placed at the center of the developed solutions. Atria Agro’s system was designed to provide complete coverage, ensuring the full functioning of the system based on three fundamental pillars: generation, distribution, and storage.

The New Initiative Dispenses with Diesel Dependency and Gains Strength with the Partnership of Bauer

Atria Agro’s new initiative, which dispenses with total dependence on diesel, gained even more strength and significance with the partnership of Bauer, a European multinational with over 90 years of experience. Bauer is currently a fundamental part of the Brazilian agribusiness with its modern irrigation systems; the integration of irrigation and energy systems from the two companies was created to make life easier for rural workers, eliminating the need for other equipment and intermediaries.

Furthermore, the storage of the generated energy is managed by one of the main influences in this matter, You.on Energy. This collaboration established by Atria added even more consistency to the system, resulting in the best technical solution on the market for Brazilian agribusiness. The installation of a photovoltaic energy system can, in addition to eliminating or reducing diesel use, ensure fixed costs for generation for the next 25 years, providing a return on investment in the medium term.

“Atria Eenergy has always believed that the best solution for Brazil should be the use of renewable energy, especially solar energy, which is abundant in our country. We knew our ability to offer a product capable of adding value to agribusiness, sought the best strategic partners, and thus Atria Agro was born. Bauer, with its growth strength and excellence in irrigation products, and You.on, a reference in energy storage, formed the ideal partnership to show agribusiness that the use of clean, renewable, and abundant energy can power their equipment and generate more value for the business,” states Luis Banzato, the CEO of Atria EEnergy.
