Axess Group Signs Two Contracts for FPSO Installation Project at Bacalhau Field in Santos Basin

Axess Group’s Work on the Installation of the FPSO in the Bacalhau Field Includes the Provision of Certification and Inspection Services. The Company Now Expands Its Business Portfolio with New Contracts on the Santos Basin Project.

The technical services company in the fuel sector, Axess Group, is expecting strong growth prospects in the national market. The company has two new contracts signed in the Brazilian offshore sector. One of the deals was signed with the Japanese company Modec, while the other was with the Norwegian company Aibel. Both are for technical services in the FPSO installation project in the Bacalhau Field, located in the Santos Basin.

FPSO Installation Project in the Bacalhau Field Will Rely on Support Services from Axess Group After Contracts Are Signed

Offshore fuel production and exploration projects in Brazil have been growing strongly in 2022, and the FPSO installation in the Bacalhau Field, located in the Santos Basin, is one of the most significant in the current scenario. 

Now, the project will feature the participation of yet another giant in the international fuel market, the solutions and technical services company Axess Group. 

The group has managed to establish two partnerships for the platform installation project and will provide its inspection and certification services for the undertaking. 

One of the contracts was closed with the Japanese Modec and another with the Norwegian Aibel, the main companies in the Campos Basin project. 

Learn About the Services to Be Provided by Axess Group in the Contracts with Modec and Aibel

The first of Axess Group’s contracts for the FPSO project in the Santos Basin is with the Japanese company Modec. 

In this contract, the services provided by the group will include project review and certification of lifting equipment for the hull and selected modules in China.

According to the agreement, all scope must strictly follow Brazilian Regulatory Standards (NRs), ensuring greater safety and efficiency in the services. 

The agreement with the Norwegian Aibel will cover the topside modules of the vessel built at the facility. Services such as engineering, inspection, testing, and certification of lifting equipment will be provided. 

In this way, Axess Group will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safety and productive efficiency at the FPSO in the Bacalhau Field. 

Company Celebrates Contracts for the Santos Basin Project and Expects Good Results in the National Market for the Coming Years

After signing the contracts to participate in safety and technical inspection for the installation of the FPSO in the Bacalhau Field, Axess Group celebrated the new deals, reinforcing growth prospects in the market. 

“Thanks to good collaboration with the Modec team in Singapore and China, as well as the ongoing support from the Aibel team in Thailand, inspections on-site are being conducted smoothly under standardized processes and requirements,” highlighted Ricardo Freire, Operations Director at APME in the Axess Group.

Meanwhile, Rod Matzdorff, Client Manager at Axess Group, stated that the company is very pleased with the recognition in the national market. “With this project, we hope to further develop the good working relationships we have with Modec and Aibel,” he added. 

The FPSO in the Bacalhau Field will have a total production capacity of 220,000 barrels per day and will be one of the major business ventures for the oil and natural gas market in the Santos Basin over the next few years.
