Offshore fuel production and exploration projects in Brazil have been growing strongly in 2022 and the installation of the FPSO in Campo de Bacalhau, located in the Santos Basin, is one of the most relevant in the current scenario.

Now, the undertaking will count on the participation of another giant of the international fuel market, the technical solutions and services company Axess Group.

The group was able to sign two partnerships for the project to install the platform and will provide its inspection and certification services in the project.

One of the contracts was closed with the Japanese Modec and another with the Norwegian Aibel, the main companies in the Campos Basin project.

The first of Axess Group's contracts for the FPSO project in the Santos Basin is with the Japanese company Modec.

In it, the services provided by the group will be project review and certification of hull lifting devices and selected modules in China.

According to the business, the entire scope must strictly follow the Brazilian Regulatory Norms (NRs), thus ensuring more safety and efficiency in the services.

The agreement with the Norwegian company Aibel will cover the topside modules of the vessel built in the complex. Engineering, inspection, testing and certification services for lifting appliances will then be provided.

In this way, the Axess Group will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safety and production efficiency in the Campo de Bacalhau FPSO.

Company celebrates Santos Basin project contracts and expects good results for the coming years in the domestic market

After signing the contracts to participate in the safety and technical inspection of the FPSO installation in Campo de Bacalhau, Axess Group celebrated the new business, reinforcing the prospects for growth in the market.

“Thanks to the good collaboration with the Modec team in Singapore and China, as well as the continued support of the Aibel team in Thailand, the on-site inspections are running smoothly against standardized processes and requirements,” highlighted APME's Director of Operations at the Axess Group, Ricardo Freire.

The client manager of the Axess Group, Rod Matzdorff, stated that the company is very satisfied with the recognition in the domestic market. “With this project, we hope to further develop the good working relationships we have with Modec and Aibel,” he added.

The Campo de Bacalhau FPSO will have a total production capacity of 220.000 barrels per day and will be one of the big deals for the oil and natural gas market in the Santos Basin over the next few years.
