Second Report: Brazil Can Create 760,000 Jobs in Bioenergy by 2030 and Strengthen the Green Economy.

Brazil can create 760,000 jobs in bioenergy by 2030, a study released this week reveals a historic leap in the sector and indicates why the country has the potential to take a central position in the global energy transition.

According to the study, Brazil is in a privileged position to quickly expand bioenergy production, strengthening local economies and generating income in the countryside.

Bioenergy Gains Prominence and Opens Path for New Jobs

The projection that Brazil can create 760,000 jobs in bioenergy by 2030, says study, represents a growth of 63% compared to the current number of workers in the sector.

Bioenergy is produced from biomass — any organic matter of plant or animal origin.

Lack of Qualified Professionals Limits Sector Advancement

Despite the great potential, the study warns that the lack of a skilled workforce is still a significant challenge.

Thus, in order for the country to achieve the projected growth, it will be necessary to train approximately 450,000 new professionals by 2030.

The action plan has three phases and requires public and private collaboration

The survey that states that Brazil can create 760,000 jobs in bioenergy by 2030, says study, also presents an action plan divided into three stages to overcome the bottlenecks in professional training.

Short-Term Actions: Immediate Response to Increased Demand

The study recommends that companies accelerate the use of corporate academies, internal training programs, and modular certifications.

These quick initiatives help meet the immediate demand for specialized workers, especially in industrial operations.

Medium-Term Actions: Aligning Talent Supply and Demand

Thus, for the coming years, the report advocates the creation of skills observatories — structures capable of mapping professional needs and guiding public and private policies.

In the longer term, the plan highlights the need for deep educational reforms.

Strategic Opportunity for Brazil

The diagnosis presented by Schneider Electric and the consulting firm Systemiq reinforces that Brazil is facing a strategic window.

Thus, throughout the study indicating that Brazil can create 760,000 jobs in bioenergy by 2030, says study, the central message is clear: with proper qualification and long-term policies, the country can become a global reference in bioenergy and also promote regional development and productive inclusion.
