The field development plan was sent to the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP) in December last year and the estimate is that it will be approved later this year. For the project, the company seeks subsea goods and services, including engineering and SURF (subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines).
The drilled wells will be connected to BW Offshore's FPSO Berge Helene. The schedule calls for the drilling of 3 wells in Phase 1 and 5 wells in Phase 2. Peak production is expected in 2023, when 29 bopd are expected, followed by 35 bopd in 2035.
In 2023, according to BW Energy, Maromba production will account for half of the company's total production (60 bopd). The field is operated by BW (95%) in partnership with Magma Oil (5%).
