Electric Coupe SUV, BYD Song L, from the Chinese Brand Will Be Offered in Three Power Variants, Including an All-Wheel Drive Option
BYD is preparing to launch the Song L in the Brazilian market in the second half of 2025. The electric coupe SUV, which has already been spotted testing in the country, combines sporty design and advanced technology in a package that promises to revolutionize the segment.
Built on the e-Platform 3.0, the BYD Song L utilizes Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology, which integrates the battery into the chassis in a “skateboard” format. This configuration optimizes the interior space and improves driving dynamics.
The model will be offered in three configurations: entry-level version with a 204 hp rear-wheel drive motor; mid-range with 313 hp also rear-wheel drive; and top-of-the-line with two motors totaling 516 hp and all-wheel drive. The latter accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.

Equipped with the Blade Battery, the BYD Song L offers a range of up to 662 km on the CLTC cycle in the fully electric version. The plug-in hybrid variant (DM-i) can cover up to 2,100 km by combining electric and combustion propulsion.
With generous dimensions (4.84 m long, 1.95 m wide, and 1.56 m high), the SUV offers ample interior space and a wheelbase of 2.93 meters. The exterior design follows the “Pioneer Dragon Face Aesthetics” language, featuring distinctive elements like “teeth” and “dragon whiskers” at the front.
Inside, it stands out with a 15.6-inch rotating multimedia center, a 10.25-inch digital dashboard, and a 50-inch head-up display. The finishing uses premium materials and offers customizable ambient lighting.
Embedded technology includes the intelligent DiLink cockpit and DiPilot 100 assistance system, featuring resources such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, and lane-keeping assistance.
The estimated price of the BYD Song L in Brazil will range between R$ 350,000 and R$ 400,000, positioning it as a competitive alternative to models like the Volvo C40.

Os Senhores quando se referem aos carros elétricos, falam sempre do “faz de 0 a 100, em tantos segundos, e autonomia de…”. É preciso explicar, que caso se mantenha uma velocidade acima do recomendado pela montadora, dentre outros, caso o automóvel não seja equipado com o limitador, a autonomia da bateria, nesse caso, é bem inferior ao informado. Dirigir na cidade é uma coisa; na rodovia em alta velocidade, é outra…
Tipo, o carro faz 15 km com 1 litro de gasolina, mas não falar a que velocidade foi feita à medição… Ou alguém vai fazer uma viagem a mesma velocidade que anda na cidade? Quanto maior à velocidade
mas energia é preciso…
Isso serve pra qualquer carro, inclusive a combustão. Se você andar sempre acelerando, a autonomia cairá.
Estou na expectativa para que chegue logo e comprar o meu. Irei trocar a minha Toyota SW4 2017 por essa máquina aí.
