Joining the Prodec guarantees a tax benefit on ICMS collection. In return, the company expands its production capacity and creates new jobs in the region.
According to Piracanjuba, the project will increase annual revenue by 55%, from R$ 1.69 billion to R$ 2.62 billion.
The increase will be possible due to the rise in the volume of processed milk, which will go from 620 to 711 million liters per year, a growth of approximately 13%.
The modernization of machinery and the automation of production and packaging services will also bring productivity gains. Currently, the unit employs over 570 people.
Incentive Strengthens the Santa Catarina Industry
“The Prodec is an important economic tool to boost the company’s investments in Santa Catarina. By offering tax incentives, such as the deferral of ICMS, the Program stimulates the expansion of industrial enterprises, generating jobs and income,” said Marcelo Martins, Director of Institutional and Government Relations at Piracanjuba.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Sicos, Silvio Dreveck, highlighted that tax benefits are essential for competitiveness. “The industrial sector is the engine of the economy of Santa Catarina. By granting incentives, we ensure, above all, competitiveness and modernization of our industry. Since 2023, under the leadership of Governor Jorginho Mello, programs such as Prodec and Pró-Emprego, for example, have already secured over R$ 28 billion in private investments for Santa Catarina,” he emphasized.
In 2025, Piracanjuba will celebrate 70 years, reaching a portfolio with over 200 items and projecting a revenue of up to R$ 12 billion in the year.
The company has manufacturing plants in Bela Vista de Goiás (GO), Governador Valadares (MG), Maravilha (SC), Nossa Senhora da Glória (SE), Sulina (PR), Araraquara (SP), Três Rios (RJ), and Carazinho (RS).
