Blix, a company based in California, has developed a new electric bicycle with a range of 130 km and fully customizable for less than R$ 10.

Blix, a California-based bicycle manufacturer, recently launched its new electric vehicle called the Dubbel, a new model completely powered by battery. According to the company, the “most versatile” electric bike in its lineup so far was inspired by the design and functionality of compact bikes. The model has the capacity to transport passengers, light loads and even pets.

Electric bicycle has a range of 130 km

One of the great highlights of electric vehicle is its modular design. The model has several mounting points that make it possible to add accessories according to the owner's demand. The user can install a front basket on the electric bike, for example, an extra side compartment, a padded seat on the rear rack, among other equipment, according to the company.

The electric vehicle has a payload capacity of 200 pounds, equivalent to 90,72 kg, and can have a maximum range of 130 km. According to the company's information, the Dubbel comes equipped with thick tires from the factory, resistant to punctures and 20-inch wheels (50,8 centimeters). The electric bike also has hydraulic disc brakes, LED headlight, accelerator and a horn installed in the handlebar region. The transmission, on the other hand, has 8 gears.

It is important to mention that the electric vehicle also offers its customers the option of purchasing a dual 1.228 Wh battery system, which gives it an additional 80 km of autonomy. As for the engine, Dubbel has a 750 W unit with peak power of 1.350 W and 90 Nm of torque. According to the company's official page, the model hits the market with a suggested price of US$ 1.900, equivalent to R$ 9.800 at the current exchange rate.

Bicycle that serves as a solar power station

The company Mokwheel, also from California, has developed an electric bicycle model that can function as a solar power station to charge electronic devices such as notebooks and cell phones.

The electric vehicle has up to 1.000 W of power and input for photovoltaic panels on the housing, and was designed for rough terrain and sunlight. The company's highlight was getting an inverter with solar charging capacity, which turns the bike into a station for producing electricity from the sun's rays.

In other words, users will no longer run out of battery on their cell phone while out and about, or without power in a house far from the city.

Vehicle capable of climbing Mount Everest on just one charge

Another US company has developed a electric bike that has the ability to climb Mount Everest on just a single charge. The model developed by Optibike is called the R 22 Everest, being the highest performance version ever produced by the brand.

The vehicle, which is an off-road model, was revealed last month by the company and has two batteries, totaling a maximum supply of 3.260 Wh of capacity, which is equivalent to approximately 6,5 times more power than the batteries found on lower priced electric bikes.

The whole set provides the electric bicycle with a range of 510 km on a single charge, in pedal assistance mode and at a speed of up to 25 km/h, according to the company itself.
