Job Openings for Intermediate and Higher Education Positions, Such as Regulation Technician and Administrative Analyst, Would Be Part of the Competition
The National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has sent a request to the Federal Government for the conduct of a new public competition. The goal is to fill 404 positions in intermediate and higher education roles. In this article, we will discuss the details of this request, the positions covered, and the hiring needs pointed out by Anatel.
Carlos Manuel Baigorri, president of Anatel, sent a letter to the Ministry of Management and Innovation (MGI), requesting authorization for the new competition. The request includes openings for the following positions: regulation specialist (122 vacancies), administrative analyst (54 vacancies), regulation technician (109 vacancies) and administrative technician (119 vacancies). All federal agencies had until May 31 to submit their requests for authorization to the Federal Government.
Need for Hiring by Anatel Through the Competition
Anatel claims that, since its creation, it does not have the number of staff prescribed by law, and its current staff is outdated. The agency faces staff shortages due to vacancies and retirements, which has led to a significant reduction in its workforce. Currently, Anatel has 1,286 employees, while the legal forecast is 1,690. Therefore, Anatel’s intention is to fill all open positions and regularize its staff.

The Last Anatel Competition and Its Characteristics
The last Anatel competition was held in 2014 and was valid until 2017. 100 vacancies were offered, distributed among intermediate and higher education positions. The positions of administrative technician and regulation technician for telecommunications services required intermediate education as a prerequisite. Meanwhile, the positions of administrative analyst and regulation specialist for telecommunications services required higher education in specific areas.
The competition, organized by Cebraspe, included objective, essay, and title tests. The multiple-choice exam covered questions on Basic and Specific Knowledge. In total, there were 120 questions. After the last competition, Anatel could no longer call for approved candidates, making it necessary to conduct a new selection to fill the open vacancies.
