In October 2019, Minister Marco Aurélio of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) upheld the decision of the Regional Labor Court of the 10th Region (TRT-10) regarding the need for anew Banco do Brasil contest for higher education positions. This means that the selection for BB may occur in 2020.

In the decision, Minister Marco Aurélio denied the continuation of Complaint 32298 in which the bank requested the annulment of the TRT-10 decision. It is important to explain that the TRT’s decision was made through a Public Action filed by the Ministry of Labor (MPT) that reported the misuse of functions of mid-level clerks for higher-level roles.
