Navy Contest to Work on Submarines Is Open for Registration and Does Not Require a College Degree

The Positions Are For Working on Submarines. The Navy Competition Will Take Place in 14 States and the Federal District. The Initial Tests of the Competition Are Scheduled for October 23.

This week, it was announced the opening of registration for the Navy Competition. The public competition aims to fill 10 positions to join the Technical Frame for Naval Ranks – QTPA. The approved candidates will work with the operation and maintenance system of submarines and nuclear facilities.

Navy of Brazil Competition: Learn More Details

With opportunities exclusively for males, to work on submarines, the competition requires that participants be aged between 18 and 24 years old, to be completed by January 1, 2023.

Additionally, the Navy competition requires a technical high school education in two specific areas, being Electronics, offering 4 positions, or Mechanics, offering 6 positions. The approved candidates will receive a complete training course, which will take place at the Almirante Alexandrino Instruction Center (CIAA), in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Throughout the training course, students will receive a remuneration of R$ 1,414.

After completing the training course, graduates will become third sergeants, and from then on will receive around R$ 3,825. To take the Navy competition and work on submarines, it is necessary to fill out the application form by August 21, on the official website of the Navy of Brazil, and pay a fee of R$ 75.

The Navy reserved 20% of the positions for black candidates, and to make the reservation, it is necessary to fill out a self-declaration and attach it to the application. In this process, there will be a heteroidentification phase to confirm what was declared in the registration.

The Navy Competition allows candidates qualified in Industrial Automation, Electromechanical, Electronics, Electrotechnics, or Mechatronics to apply for the Electronics positions.

For the Mechanics positions, candidates qualified in Automotive Maintenance, Industrial Machinery Maintenance, Naval Machinery Maintenance, Heavy Machinery Maintenance, Mechanics, Precision Mechanics, Mechatronics, or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning will be accepted. It is important to emphasize that both positions are for working on submarines.

First Selection Stage and Exams

The first selection stage for candidates is scheduled for October 23, where the registered candidates will take an objective test with 50 multiple-choice questions, covering professional knowledge and also a writing test.

The objective tests will be conducted in the municipalities of São Paulo and Santos (SP), Rio de Janeiro, Angra dos Reis, Nova Friburgo and São Pedro da Aldeia (RJ), Brasília (DF), Rio Grande and Porto Alegre (RS), Vila Velha (ES), Belo Horizonte (MG), Salvador (BA), Natal (RN), Olinda (PE), Fortaleza (CE), Belém (PA), São Luís (MA), Florianópolis (SC), Ladário (MS), and Manaus (AM).

Included in the next stages are the phases of Health Inspection, Physical Aptitude Test, Psychological Evaluation, and Verification of Biographical Data/Documents. The Training Course is scheduled to start on July 24, 2023.
