Benefits of Being a Military Police Officer in Santa Catarina
The Military Police of Santa Catarina enjoy a range of benefits and privileges.
In addition to an attractive salary, which is currently R$ 6,000.00, including the subsidy and the Indemnity for Special Active Service (IRESA), soldiers are entitled to uniforms, health assistance for themselves and their dependents through the Military Police Hospital and dental clinic, special social security, among other benefits guaranteed by the Statute of Military Police Officers.
Requirements to Be Approved in the PMSC Public Competition 2023
To apply for one of the soldier vacancies at PMSC, it is necessary to meet some minimum requirements. Check below the requirements for taking office:
- Male candidates must be up to date with mandatory military service;
- Graduation in any field;
- Men must be at least 1.65 m tall, while women must be 1.60 m;
- A National Driver’s License (CNH) in any category or a driving permit is required;
- Must be at least 18 years old and at most 30 years old;
- Must be approved in all stages of the competition.
Duties of the Soldier Trainee After Being Approved in the Public Competition
During the training period in the Soldier Training Course, the recruit will carry out academic activities on an all-day basis, as well as participate in internal and external activities related to their police training.
After completing the course, the duties and responsibilities of the soldier are defined by laws, regulations, and instructions from PMSC.
Registrations for the PMSC Competition: How to Participate
Registrations for the PMSC competition must be made exclusively through the official Cebraspe website.
The registration period started on May 19 and will remain open until 6 PM on June 16, 2023.
During the registration process, it is important for the candidate to select the city where they wish to take the written tests.
It is worth noting that after the registration is finalized, it will not be possible to request a change in the city option. Therefore, it is necessary to choose carefully the location where you plan to take the tests.
To take the exam, candidates must pay the registration fee of R$ 200.00.
Exams of the PMSC Public Competition 2023
The objective written tests and the essay will be the first elimination stage of the PMSC competition. They will last for 5 hours and are scheduled to take place on August 27.
The candidate will have the opportunity to take the tests in various cities in Santa Catarina, such as Balneário Camboriú, Blumenau, Canoinhas, Chapecó, Criciúma, Florianópolis, Joaçaba, Joinville, Lages, Rio do Sul, São Miguel do Oeste, and Tubarão.
When registering, the candidate must indicate their preferred city to take the tests. The exact test locations will be announced by the organizing body of the competition on August 21.
It is essential to be prepared and study in advance to ensure good performance in this stage.
Soldier Training Course: Prepare for a Career in the Santa Catarina Military Police
After being approved in all stages of the PMSC competition, the selected candidates will undergo the Soldier Training Course.
This course is expected to last 8 months and is divided into 3 modules. It can be conducted at the school unit of the Center for Training and Improvement of Privates (CFAP), located in the city of Florianópolis, or in units in other cities in Santa Catarina.
During the course, soldier-trainees will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills, preparing to fulfill their duties as military police officers.
After training, soldiers will be assigned to operational activities and must stay in the activity for a minimum period of five years.
