Statkraft Brazil has begun the construction of the Wind Farm Ventos de Santa Eugênia, in Uibaí, in the state of Bahia. By the end of the project, with an inauguration expected in 2023, the company will more than double the installed capacity of the country to 967 megawatts. Since the start of the project, over 200 professionals have been hired. It is estimated that approximately 750 people will be employed during the construction process. There are currently 15 open positions.

The company’s business strategy in Brazil is to triple its renewable energy production capacity by 2025. With the construction of the project, Statkraft has reinforced its commitment to sustainability and allowed future generations to enjoy the growth and development of the region.

This way, the company will expand the supply of renewable energy in Brazil, with the wind farm project in Bahia, contributing to reducing the country’s carbon dioxide emissions and the pace of global warming, as the impact of wind energy on the environment is lower than that of the traditional matrix.

Construction of the Wind Farm and Job Creation for the Works

Since the beginning of the wind farm construction in Bahia, over 200 professionals have been hired. It is expected that approximately 750 people will be employed throughout the construction process. Currently, 15 positions are available. The roles are for construction workers, and no prior experience is required.
