Leaders Gather to Discuss Climate Challenges
On October 15, 2025, in Brasília, the third and final edition of CNN Talks COP30 took place. The event brought together representatives from the public and private sectors, strengthening the dialogue on climate financing, energy transition, and carbon market in Brazil.
Under the theme “From Challenges to Solutions – A Journey to the Global Agreement”, the meeting brought leaders closer and promoted practical actions regarding the country’s role in the low-carbon economy. Additionally, the event occurred just over a month before the COP30, which will be held from November 10 to 21, 2025, in Belém (PA).
Considered the “COP of Solutions”, the conference will highlight bioeconomy, innovation, climate financing, and just transition, according to information from CNN Brasil. Thus, the event anticipated strategic debates and strengthened Brazil’s preparation for the global scenario.
Event Structure and Moderation
The debate was led by Márcio Gomes, anchor of CNN Prime Time, with moderation by Patricia Ellen, a specialist in energy transition and sustainability. The conversation had a technical and direct tone, prioritizing concrete results and practical actions.
During the program, four panels structured the dialogue: climate diplomacy, green finance, just transition, and sustainability in practice.
Among those present were André Corrêa do Lago, president of COP30, and Governor Helder Barbalho, who highlighted Belém as the future epicenter of global climate decisions.

The group also included Rogério Santana (B3), Tomás Manzano (Copersucar), João Irineu (Stellantis), Marcelo Lyra (Acelen), Helder Barbalho (Pará), Mariana Espécie (MME), and João Paulo (Belo Horizonte).
