Due to the New Coronavirus Pandemic, State Universities and Federal Institutions of Paraná Had to Postpone Entrance Exam Dates. In Some Cases, Adjust to New Methods for Exam Administration
State Universities and Federal Institutions had no other alternative but to postpone their entrance exam dates due to the New Coronavirus pandemic. Having to adapt to the new normal, managers of some State Universities and Federal Institutions decided to abolish the conventional method and invest in virtual selections, among other safer methods for students to enter universities and federal institutes.

Federal University of Paraná
UFPR will administer the exams in two phases, with the first on February 28 and the second on April 18 and 19.
The university decided to proceed with the administration of exams in-person, following all hygiene and safety protocols established by the Ministry of Health. Applications have already closed.

Federal Technological University of Paraná
The UTFPR informed that student admission is done through the ENEM.
Federal University of Latin American Integration
The UNILA uses the Unified Selection System, SISU, to select students of exclusively Brazilian nationality.
Federal University of Southern Border
Just like UNILA and UTFPR, UFFS also uses ENEM and SISU for student selection.
Federal Institute of Paraná
The IFPR this year decided not to adopt in-person entrance exams, as usual.
Scores from ENEM from 2018 to 2020 will be used for admission to higher education courses. For technical high school, concurrent and subsequent, a public lottery will be held from March 1 to 3.
There will be no call for excess candidates. Applications have been open since the 4th and will close on March 8.
State University of Maringá
The UEM postponed the exams to next year. They will be on March 21 and 22, 2020. Applications have already closed.
State University of Londrina
Following hygiene and health safety protocols, UEL decided to conduct the exams in a single phase. It will be on March 14, and applications have already closed.
State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG)
The selection will be in-person and will occur on March 7 and 8. Applications closed.
State University of the Midwest (Unicentro)
The exams will take place on April 11 and 12. Selection will also be in-person. Applications end on February 4.
State University of the West of Paraná
The entrance exam for Unioeste will be on May 30, conducted in-person. Applications will be between February and April.
State Universities of Paraná
The Unespar replaced the traditional entrance exam with three alternatives at the student’s discretion: Enroll through SISU; Use the final average of the entrance exam from the university itself or of ENEM from the years 2018 and 2019;
By calculating the weighted average between the grades from the last year of high school and an essay, which will be done in-person at Unespar. Courses that require a second assessment phase will be conducted online.
State University of Northern Paraná (UENP)
The exams will be in-person, held on April 18, 2021. Applications will be open until March 10.
