The Vacancies for the Free English Course Offered by the State of São Paulo Are Intended for High School Students of the State Network
The government of the state of São Paulo has made available 17,000 vacancies for online and completely free English courses. The announcement came from the state governor, João Doria. The partnership was made between the state and EF Education First – an international education company.

The governor stated that, “A young person who learns to speak English, even if it is basic English, has four times more chances of being employed and twice as many chances of having a better salary than someone who does not have a second language.”
The courses are for high school students from the state school network, EJA – Youth and Adult Education students, and graduates from December 2018 and 2019.

Registrations will be made through the Novotec website, which is a platform from the government of São Paulo offering free options for technical and professional courses to high school students in São Paulo state schools. After 48 hours of registration, the candidate will receive an email allowing access to the Education First platform to get started. The course must be completed within three months, with the possibility of advancing through the levels of English during this period.
Professional Qualification Courses:
In addition to the English courses, 9,000 vacancies were opened for 11 professional courses. The majority of the workload will be conducted online and live on the Microsoft Teams platform, along with in-person meetings organized by school units, respecting health and safety protocols for students, teachers, and other staff.
The total workload is 90 hours, lasting three months and in a hybrid format, with courses in the areas of Management and Business, Information Technology, and Cultural Production and Design.
The courses offered by the program are: Communication and Life Project for the Job Market, Content Creation for Social Media, Basic Excel, Basic Computer Skills, Introduction to Computer Programming, Cybersecurity Basics, Telemarketing Operator, Principles of Entrepreneurship, Multimedia Production, Reception and Customer Service, and Social Media Sales.
Registrations are also being made through the Novotec website. Registrations will be open until the 23rd of this month.
