Enem will feature two types of tests starting this year: printed tests, scheduled for November 1 and 8, and digital tests, for November 22 and 29.

On average, 100,000 participants will be able to choose between the printed or digital formats. Those who choose to take the printed Enem cannot register for the digital edition and, after completing the process, cannot change their option.
Four objective tests will be administered, each consisting of 45 questions, and an essay in Portuguese. During the registration process, participants must select an option for a foreign language – English or Spanish.
Starting this year, including an updated photo of the participant at the time of registration will be mandatory to ensure identification during the exam.
Attention! The following candidates Will Be Exempt From the Enem 2020 Registration Fee:
- Those who are in the last year of high school this year, in any mode of education, in a public school declared in the Basic Education Census;
- Those who completed all of high school in public schools or as full scholarship students in private schools and have a family per capita income equal to or less than one and a half minimum wages;
- Those who declare being in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability, as members of low-income families enrolled in the Unified Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico), which requires a per capita family income of up to half a minimum wage or a monthly family income of up to three minimum wages.
To check the results of exemption requests for the Enem registration fee, interested parties must access the Participant Page, either through the app or on the Enem website, and check the information.
