Floating Solar Plant with Solar Tracker in Campinas to Open to the Public for Guided Tours, Showcasing Cutting-Edge Technology in Energy Storage Systems.

The floating solar plant, the first with a solar tracker in all of Latin America, will allow guided tours. The innovative project by TMW Energy, a member of the Royal Fic group, was implemented in Campinas, in the interior of São Paulo, in collaboration with AESOLAR, a pioneering brand in the energy market. The tours will be available to the public from August 26 to 29, highlighting advanced technologies in energy storage.

During the visit, participants will get a detailed look at how the floating solar plant works and understand its importance for clean energy generation. Additionally, the complex of photovoltaic plants is an excellent example of renewable energy project, significantly contributing to sustainability. The plant stands out for its use of cutting-edge technology, ensuring greater efficiency and lower environmental impact. This photovoltaic plant is a milestone in energy innovation in Brazil.

Exploration of Solar Plant Technologies

Recent innovations in ground-mounted, floating, and agrivoltaic solar plants offer a unique opportunity to understand the complexities of large renewable energy projects. One such initiative is the floating solar plant that uses a solar tracker, being the only one of its kind in Latin America. This plant has an installed capacity of 8 megawatts, spread over approximately 80,000 square meters. Visitors will have the chance to closely observe the advanced technologies employed, including photovoltaic modules, inverters, transformers, and solar tracking systems.

Control Center and Storage Systems

The visit also provides a detailed demonstration of the Control, Monitoring, and Security Center, as well as energy storage systems with batteries (BESS) and an electric charging station for buses. All these components are equipped with the latest market innovations, aiming for efficiency and sustainability. Brazil presents highly favorable conditions for the development of floating solar plants, with over 420,000 registered lakes and various artificial reservoirs, offering significant potential for expanding photovoltaic energy production.

Benefits of Floating Solar Plants

Floating solar plants built on bodies of water not only help reduce costs and risks but also significantly increase energy efficiency. In the floating solar plant project, TERRA photovoltaic modules were used, which feature cutting-edge technology. These modules are designed to significantly increase productivity and durability of energy, making them ideal for various applications, especially focused on agrivoltaics. The TERRA module outperforms traditional panels thanks to its innovative features, being a reliable and efficient option for solar energy projects.

AESolar’s Leadership in the Market

AESolar is a Bloomberg Tier 1 manufacturer and one of the leading brands in the renewable energy market, offering high-quality products and services since 2003. With a production capacity of 2GW, AESolar operates in more than 100 countries. The company is recognized for its excellence and innovation in developing sustainable solutions for energy, earning awards and prominent positions in the sector.

ImersãoSolar Initiative and Its Objectives

The ImersãoSolar is a pioneering initiative by several leading companies in the energy sector, focused on developing sustainable solutions for Brazil’s future. This innovative project aims to strengthen and accelerate the country’s energy transition, aligning with the best practices and technologies available in the market. The initiative collaborates with TMW Energy, a national reference in distributed generation projects and innovative technologies in the solar energy sector.
