Detran Offers 200 Spots for the Free Course “Without Fear of Driving”, with Online Classes from October 7 to 16. Learn How to Enroll and What Will Be Taught.
The State Department of Transit (Detran) has opened registrations for the second class of the free course “Without Fear of Driving”, aimed at licensed or unlicensed individuals who face anxiety or insecurity when getting behind the wheel. In total, 200 spots will be offered and interested individuals can register until September 30, or until spots are filled.
Classes will take place from October 7 to 16, every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 2 PM to 5 PM, in live EaD format, allowing participation from candidates across the State.
Contents of the Detran Free Course
The course will be divided into six modules covering topics beyond the technical aspects of driving. Among the main subjects are:

The classes will be taught by specialists, including psychologist Lívia Ferrão, traffic instructor Josenildo de Paula, the Detran|ES inspection manager, Jederson Lobato, and EPT analyst Jéssica Dias Castilho.
How to Enroll in the Detran Free Course?
Registrations must be made directly on the Detran website, through the online form.
To secure a spot, it is necessary to have a registration in the Citizen Access system.
After completing the form, the candidate will receive a confirmation email, which must be validated for the enrollment to be finalized.
It is important to highlight that since the classes will not be recorded, participants must attend the course in real-time.
Success of the First Edition
The first class of “Without Fear of Driving” took place in August and had 800 spots, which were filled in less than 12 hours.
According to the general director of Detran, Givaldo Vieira, the result demonstrates the positive impact of the initiative:
“Overcoming the fear of driving grants independence and facilitates mobility. This reflects in greater safety, with conscious and responsible drivers.”
According to the Public School of Transit, there was a significant improvement in participants’ confidence.
The main fears reported were related to practical situations, such as facing heavy traffic, parking, starting on slopes, and driving on fast roads.
Free Course “Without Fear of Driving”
Those interested in securing one of the 200 free spots must enroll on the official Detran website between September 25 and 30, or until all spots are filled.
The classes will be streamed live in EaD format, always from 2 PM to 5 PM, on October 7, 8, 9, and 14, 15, and 16.
Being fully online, the course can be followed from anywhere in the State.
However, since the classes will not be recorded, it is essential for participants to attend in real-time to not miss any content.
