The Belo Horizonte (BH) Airport, in Minas Gerais (MG), announced the launch of a charging point for electric cars. The point is located in the P+ patio and is part of a series of projects aimed at sustainability and the environment.
After being recognized as a Green Airport, located in Belo Horizonte (BH), capital of Minas Gerais (MG), the launch of a charging point for automobiles and electric cars took place. The refueling station was installed in the P+ patio and aims to bring more convenience and comfort to customers. By reducing carbon emissions, the international airport becomes a reference throughout Brazil. Each point will be able to charge two cars simultaneously, including hybrid versions that still use fuels.
Furthermore, airport customers will be able to charge their vehicles completely free of charge. The CEO of BH Airport, Kleber Meira, states that the goal is to allow everyone to use the resources provided by nature to improve sustainability issues with the environment, avoiding the disposal of waste and carbon dioxide as occurs with gasoline, diesel, and ethanol vehicles. Kleber states that further investments in innovation and technology will be made.
The reduction of carbon emissions is already a present reality at the Belo Horizonte (BH) airport. It is estimated that since the initiation of programs for reducing carbon emissions in the capital of Minas Gerais (MG), over 584 tons of carbon dioxide have been kept from being exposed to the environment. This year, for the third time, the institution received awards aimed at high sustainability and recognition of level 3 at events in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Airport in Belo Horizonte (MG) Receives Sustainability Award for Proposing Creative Solutions to Reduce Carbon Emissions on the Environment
In October of this year, the Belo Horizonte (BH) airport received the Green Airport Recognition award during the Annual Assembly Conference & Exhibition ACI-LAC 2022, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Minas Gerais institution showed its intent to undertake various other creative initiatives to innovate and further reduce emissions, becoming more sustainable, especially regarding automobiles. Thus, it received numerous accolades.
