Xiaomi May Anticipate Apple and Launch Innovative Buttonless Phone with New Control Technologies and Advanced Design in 2025.

The Xiaomi is preparing a major innovation for next year. According to recent rumors , the company is developing a completely buttonless phone, a breakthrough that could put it ahead of Apple in launching devices with this feature. The project, internally codenamed “Zhuque,” is seen as an important milestone for Xiaomi and the smartphone market as a whole.

Innovations in Xiaomi’s Phone Design

The new device from Xiaomi promises to be a significant advancement in terms of design and functionality.

Instead of physical buttons, the phone may use alternative technologies to control its functions.

Among the considered options are gesture controls, pressure-sensitive edges, and even voice commands.

These innovations aim to provide a smoother and more modern experience for users, eliminating the need for traditional buttons and creating a cleaner and more uniform front surface.

In addition to these changes, Xiaomi is also considering positioning the front camera below the display.

This approach is not unprecedented in the smartphone world, but it has been underexplored in recent years.

The solution is similar to what is used in some foldable devices, where the camera is hidden when not in use.

With this, Xiaomi aims to create an even more elegant and minimalist design for its new phone.

Xiaomi’s History of Innovations and Prototyping

The idea of creating a buttonless phone is not entirely new for Xiaomi. In 2019, the company showcased the Mi Mix Alpha, a smartphone concept that also stood out for its lack of physical buttons.

However, the Mi Mix Alpha never reached the market as a commercially available product and remained a prototype.

The new device from Xiaomi can be seen as an evolution of this concept, with the company now closer to turning these innovative ideas into a final product.

This approach is comparable to other concepts that have emerged over the years.

In 2019, the Meizu Zero was also presented as a completely buttonless phone.

However, just like the Mi Mix Alpha, the Meizu Zero did not make it to market. These precedents demonstrate the difficulty of bringing such innovations from the prototype phase to mass production.

Performance and Advanced Technology

In terms of performance, the Xiaomi phone is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 4 as its main processor.

This component promises to offer a significant performance increase compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which will be launched in October of this year.

Although specific details about the platform are still scarce, it is expected that the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 4 will deliver superior performance, which could be a major attraction for consumers interested in cutting-edge technology.

Besides the new buttonless phone, the same processor is also expected to equip the Xiaomi 15S Pro, which is slated for release in 2025.

The presence of the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 4 in both devices reinforces Xiaomi’s commitment to innovation and advanced performance in its products.

Competition and Apple Rumors

The concept of a buttonless phone has also been speculated for Apple.

Rumors indicate that the company is working on an iPhone with similar characteristics, but so far there have been no concrete confirmations from Apple.

The lack of detailed information about Apple’s plans may put Xiaomi in an advantageous position, allowing it to be the first major brand to launch such a phone in the global market.

If Xiaomi can fulfill its ambitions and launch the device before Apple, it will represent a significant step for the company and for the smartphone sector as a whole.

The introduction of a buttonless phone could set new trends and influence the development of future devices, both from Xiaomi and its competitors.
