SUV Ferrari Purosangue has just arrived in Brazil and has already sold out of its entire production. The Italian brand's most coveted vehicle delivers 725 horsepower and a top speed of up to 310 km/h.
Launched just over a year ago, the Ferrari Purosangue SUV finally made its debut on the Brazilian market. However, for those who do not yet have a full bank account and are not regular customers of the brand, the wait could be long. With the entire initial production already sold, the first SUV from the renowned Italian manufacturer already has a waiting list of around two years.
Why is the Ferrari Purosangue so coveted?
Its two-year waiting list explains why the vehicle has become one of the most coveted luxury models in recent times. In Brazil, the Ferrari SUV price starts at R$7,4 million. In fact, the Ferrari Purosangue is not like the brand's other vehicles.
There are several details that make the crossover different. For example, the front design is reminiscent of the Roma coupe, with LED bars that cut through the headlights. However, the proportions are much greater. Initially, its height in relation to the ground is clearly greater, despite the manufacturer considering the model an SUV. Anyway, it is 4,97 meters long, 2,03 m wide, 1,59 m high and 3,02 m wheelbase.

The Ferrari Purosangue is close to the new size Porsche Cayenne. However, the Italian brand's SUV is larger in almost all measurements. Only the 473-liter trunk is smaller than that of the German SUV, which has 772 liters. In this way, it has a muscular build and plenty of room for four adults. By the way, there are four doors and the rear ones are of the suicide type, which open in the opposite direction to the front ones. No other competitor has this feature.
Ferrari Purosangue SUV delivers 725 horsepower
Shortly after revealing the Ferrari Purosangue, the brand had to suspend sales of the SUV. This is because it received a greater number of orders than expected. According to commercial director Enrico Galliera, the explosion in reservations came as soon as the brand announced the model's mechanical set. Unlike the trend of the luxury market, which is increasingly electrified, the crossover has a classic naturally aspirated V12 under its long hood.
According to official data from the Italian brand, the 12-liter V6,5 gasoline engine generates 725 horsepower at 7.750 rpm, as well as 72,9 mkgf of maximum torque at 6.250 rpm. Furthermore, 80% of the power is available at 2.100 rpm.
The eight-speed, two-clutch automated transmission is mounted on the rear axle and the drive is all-wheel drive. With this set, the Ferrari Purosangue can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3,3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 310 km/h.
Ferrari SUV has several technologies
To deliver everything it promises in its design, Ferrari Purosangue relies on high technology. For example, the SUV has the system Ferrari Active Suspension, which has four 48-volt actuators to control the movements of the shock absorbers.
This way, you can reduce the height of the body by up to 10 millimeters at high speed or to make a tighter curve, for example. Another available item is electronic descent control (HDC), a first for a Ferrari.
At the wheel, the driver has a complete package of driving assistants (ADAS). There is adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, automatic high beams, lane keeping system and blind spot warning. O The SUV's system also reads traffic signs and monitors signs of driver fatigue.
