Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid (UFERSA) offers an extension course in civil aviation
According to aeroin, the Federal Rural University of the Semiarid (UFERSA) is providing a unique opportunity for low-income people interested in obtaining an airline pilot's license. The extension course for civil aviation pilots is part of the Semiarid Pilots project, one of the Program's initiatives Wings for Everyone, launched by the Federal Government in April.
Complete and inclusive training for future pilots
O course is free and offers 20 vacancies, with 10 of them reserved preferably for women. The objective is to guarantee complete training for commercial pilots of plane, focusing on diversity and inclusion. In this way, the project strengthens aeronautical education and democratizes access to pilot training in the country.
Course stages and licenses obtained
The course will be in person and aims to train pilots until they obtain the following licenses:

Benefits for selected candidates
Selected candidates are exempt from registration and registration fees. Accommodation, food and travel costs will be the only charges, as the course will be taught in Mossoró (RN), where UFERSA's headquarters are located.
Selection process and registration
In the first stage, 200 candidates will be pre-selected, with preference given to 100 men and 100 women. Of these, 20 will be chosen, 10 women and 10 men, while the other 80 will be in reserve registration.
To apply, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Be over 18 years old
- Be registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico)
- be Brazilian
- Have completed higher education or are in the process of completing it (missing a maximum of two periods)
- Do not have an airline pilot license
