Gerdau Calls for 221 Job Openings at Its Steel Plants. Candidates With and Without Experience From All Over Brazil Can Participate in the 2022 Trainee Program
The largest steel producer in Brazil has 221 job openings available to work at its steel plants. The opportunities are exclusive to recent graduates who graduated between December 2016 and December 2021, to work in various areas of the organization, both administrative and industrial, in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Bahia, Ceará, Paraná, and Rio Grande do Sul. The G.Future program reinforces the commitment to empower people who build the future, with a keen eye on the inclusion of women, black individuals, people with disabilities, and the LGBTI+ community who want to shape the industry of the future. “We agree on the importance of diversity and inclusion, and as a company, we recognize that without diversity, there is no innovation,” says Caroline Carpenedo, the company’s Global Director of People and Social Responsibility. With a duration of 18 months, G.Future aims to train the future leaders of Gerdau. To that end, an exclusive development track has been created, where candidates undergo training on topics such as business, digital transformation, ESG, operational excellence, metallurgical processes, leadership, culture, and competencies, along with specific knowledge according to their area of expertise, such as new businesses, engineering, industrial, commercial, technology, and support areas. In parallel, they also work on relevant projects in multidisciplinary groups, in addition to personalized development focused on enhancing each talent.

Prerequisites Trainee: talents who have graduated between December 2018 and June 2021 or expected to graduate by December 2021, with no prior experience required
Prerequisites Trainee Experts: professionals graduated between December 2016 and December 2018, with experience in the chosen area
Locations: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Bahia, Ceará, Paraná, and Rio Grande do Sul.
The selection process includes the stages of online registration, online tests, online group dynamics, panels, and interviews (individual and group). For some positions, successful candidates will be invited for a visit to the plants, with costs covered by Gerdau. “The idea is to create positive experiences that provide valuable learning for Trainees and Trainee Experts. We will select people who connect with the company’s principles and seek to be protagonists of their careers,” Carpenedo concludes.
