GNA I Thermal Power Plant Authorized by the RJ Government
The license granted by the state government provides for the operation of the plant to be carried out from seawater desalination to reduce environmental impact. GNA also has authorization to double the installed capacity of the thermal park in the future.
The GNA I thermal power plant will consist of 3 gas turbines and 1 steam turbine that, together, will be responsible for generating 1.3 GW in combined cycle, which contributes to increasing the efficiency of energy generation.
The energy generated by the GNA I thermal power plant will be connected to the National Interconnected System (SIN) through a 345 kV Transmission Line, approximately 52 km long, at the Campos dos Goytacazes substation.
