Heineken announced on Thursday (17) that it has signed a 10-year agreement with the malting company to be built in Ponta Grossa (Paraná), and with the new partnership, jobs will also emerge for the local residents. The sustainable product will be sold starting in 2023, when the malting factory begins its production.

He also highlights that the agreement with the company from Paraná opened up possibilities for the brewery to continue growing its business and expand production while always considering sustainability and, in addition, to invest in the Brazilian market by purchasing barley produced in national territory.
Get To Know The Malting Factory From Paraná
The project for the malting factory comes from the union of several cooperatives, led by Agrária, in Paraná, joining forces with five other partners that have experience in the sector. They are: Capal, Bom Jesus, Castrolanda, Frísia, and Coopagrícola, all from Paraná.
The factory will have an annual capacity of 240,000 tons of barley, representing 15% of national production, and not only that, it will generate more than a thousand jobs both directly and indirectly.
