Hydro, a Norwegian multinational company, has hundreds of openings for inexperienced candidates from Pará. The company offers opportunities in three operations and various sectors.
Hydro, a Norwegian multinational operating in the aluminum sector, is finishing the week with the opening of 260 vacancies for inexperienced candidates. The opportunities are part of the Young Talent program. In this edition, the company will select young people to work in three operations in the state of Pará. The selection process aims to carry out affirmative actions that benefit young people residing near the multinational’s unit in Pará and also people with disabilities.
Requirements to Participate in Hydro’s Internship and Trainee Vacancies
The 260 opportunities at Hydro are distributed as follows: 55 for the bauxite mine Hydro Paragominas, 55 for the primary ore producer Albras, and 150 for the company’s alumina refinery called Hydro Alunorte.
Those interested in participating in the selection process must be between 18 and 22 years old and reside in the micro-region of the mine (in Paragominas or Barbacena). Additionally, the multinational’s internship program also requires candidates to be enrolled in high school or have already completed basic education.

Those approved for the Hydro’s inexperienced vacancies in Pará will work 6 hours a day at the company, developing practical learning activities. They will also receive theoretical training, provided by the National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI).
The opportunities are spread across four company sectors, namely Industrial Learning in Mining, Industrial Automation Systems Maintenance, Ore Processing Operator, and Industrial Machinery Maintenance Mechanic.
At Hydro Albras, candidates wishing to work in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, Process Operations, and Administrative Services will be hired for the inexperienced vacancies. At Alunorte, hires will be made for the Refinery Processes, Industrial Machinery Maintenance, and Administrative Services sectors.

At the time of application, it is necessary to attach a resume. Additionally, it is also necessary to submit information such as proof of residence, official photo ID, voter registration, and proof of completion of high school. Once the online application is successfully submitted, an email will be sent to the candidate to confirm their registration.
Those approved for the multinational’s internship vacancies in Pará are expected to start their activities in July, with the program lasting two years. During this period, hired individuals will need to balance practical activities with theoretical coursework. They will also receive a scholarship, transportation allowance, health plan, meal voucher, and dental plan.

Developed in 2011, the Young Talent program is a social inclusion initiative aimed at helping young Brazilians secure their first job, even without experience in the sector.
Thousands of Brazilians face difficulties in securing their first job. To ease entry into the job market, the Federal Government encourages the Young Apprentice program in medium and large companies, regulated by Law 10.097/2000.
According to the legislation, young people aged between 14 and 24 can participate in apprenticeship programs. The company must promote practical activities while also ensuring theoretical training, usually offered in partnership with an educational institution.
