About The Thermal Power Plants In Camaçari, Bahia

As mentioned in another article here on the CPG news portal, the thermal power plants in Bahia aim to eliminate CO2 emissions in the atmosphere. The plants built in Camaçari, Bahia, have a structure that is completely powered by natural gas. Initially, the plant was to be biomass, however, the previous project was unsuccessful. Thus, the company adopted the idea of the thermal power plant.

The thermal power plants in Camaçari, Bahia, received an initial investment of R$ 180 million. They will consist of a combination of three types of plants. The plant models presented in Imetame’s project constitute the gas-to-wire model, according to Gilson Pereira, executive director of Imetame.

Creation Of New Jobs

Imetame Energia has initiated a selection process to hire technicians for the plants in Camaçari, Bahia. The company is looking for individuals residing in the area or from other states. Imetame operates nationwide and its operations include manufacturing, assembly, steelmaking, mining, and oil and gas, as well as industrial maintenance in the pulp and paper segments.

Founded by mechanic Etore Selvatici Cavallieri, the company emerged from an entrepreneurial initiative when Etore was still an employee of the former Aracruz Florestal-ES. At that time, he found a great business opportunity in excess machining and welding services, and in a small 50m2 warehouse, Imetame Metalmecânica was established on August 17, 1980, the first company of the Group.

Hyundai In The Market

Hyundai has 10 factories worldwide, 7 of which are outside South Korea. In Brazil, the factory is responsible for producing the HB20 models, which are assembled only here, along with the Hyundai Creta SUV.

The Brazilian factory is located in Piracicaba, in the interior of São Paulo state, and was built with an investment of US$ 700 million. Production of the first HB20 model began in September 2012. In 2016, an additional US$ 130 million was invested in the same plant to enable the production of the Hyundai Creta.

The factory operates in three shifts and has a production capacity of 180,000 cars per year, which is equivalent to 36 cars per hour.
