Londrina concessionaire conducts tests with solar energy

The Londrina Concessionaire, Sercomtel Iluminação, started carrying out tests using LED luminaires that have the capacity to store and convert solar energy into night lighting, so the concessionaire intends to have the public lighting system with technology based on solar energy .

In order to achieve this objective, Sercomtel will use two models of solar lights, one called “SMD” (Surface Mounted Diode), which has a certain versatility, in addition to being compact, in relation to LED components. ]

The two models have a differential in Watts, one being 120 watts and the other 180 watts. The installation has already been carried out in a certain street close to the farms in the southern region, where it will remain for a period that is still being defined.

President of Sercomtel says that models are still in testing phases

According to the president of Sercomtel Iluminação, Luciano Kühl, the company is still carrying out tests on the models that will be used, to see if the expectations placed on them will be pleasant. “If they are approved, we will be able to establish a process for implanting Londrina”, he pointed out.

According to technicians from Sercomtel Iluminação, the models to be used have first-rate technology.

According to the manufacturer, each unit can offer, if necessary, a lighting flow of up to 24 hours, however, the models can save energy, thus increasing the useful life by up to 36 hours of lighting, through presence sensors, thus making a reduction in favor of the luminosity capacity by up to 50%, without traffic flow.
