Although Petrobras’s public announcement considered the possibility of renting one or more drilling rigs for the project, it has not yet been confirmed that a second piece of equipment is included in the offer. Currently, the vessel will be the Norbe VIII. The unit was secured at US$ 200,000.

The rig competed with at least five other drilling units. Ocyan itself provided several rigs and also mentioned Norbe IX. The Norbe VIII lease contract is valid for 425 days, renewable for 655 days.

“Soon, we will recruit more than 100 members for a new project for the provision of routine industrial maintenance services for offshore units with the supply of equipment, materials, and onshore support services. For now, we have the future opportunities bank open to receive resumes”, the company said in the announcement.
