Maersk opened a new warehouse in Cajamar, in the state of São Paulo. This was done as part of the company’s commitment to its role as an integrator of global logistics, aiming to expand its presence in Latin America.
The new unit has a total area of 19,400 square meters and is located near the major economic centers of the Southeast region. It has a strategic location around the main markets for fast-moving consumer goods, retail, technology and electronics, fashion and lifestyle, and other categories of goods and services. The location of the unit provides easy access to major highways and is situated 50 kilometers from the main airports, 30 kilometers from São Paulo, and 120 kilometers from the port of Santos.
“By the end of this year, we will have a total storage area of 350,000 square meters in Latin America, with sites in several countries in the region, and we have great ambition for the coming years. As we combine warehouses in strategic locations with a broad portfolio of services, we aim to offer agile and higher value-added solutions to our customers,” said Robbert van Trooijen, president of Maersk in Latin America.
