Unlocking Investments in the Civil Construction Industry, Mato Grosso do Sul Welcomes a New Store from Quero-Quero, One of the Largest Building Materials Retail Networks

With its ongoing growth, Mato Grosso do Sul attracts various investments from new retail chains and large civil construction industries, mainly building materials. On Thursday (12), a Quero-Quero store was inaugurated. The company, which boasts the largest network of building materials stores in Brazil, chose Mato Grosso do Sul as its first expansion location outside the south region.

The city chosen to host the Quero-Quero store was Eldorado. According to Peter Furukawa, CEO of the company, from the outset, the building materials network aims to reach all states in the country, but with the responsibility to serve and respect customers in the best possible way.

Furukawa states that he always knew the company would arrive in Mato Grosso do Sul and other regions of the country. The initial estimate was to reach it only next year, but opportunities arose to enter the civil construction industry this year.

About 80% of the cities where the building materials stores are located have less than 100,000 inhabitants. This is because the company aims to serve municipalities that large building materials networks do not reach.

Investment in the Civil Construction Market in Mato Grosso do Sul Promises to Generate Jobs

Eldorado, which has 15,000 inhabitants, welcomed the construction sector network with enthusiasm and happiness, with a greater influx of people, while adhering to all biosafety regulations imposed by the Mato Grosso do Sul government for the pandemic.

Additionally, the construction store seeks to conduct a selection process with local residents to work in the building materials store. So far, 10 salespeople have been hired to serve the population that will come to know and shop at the store.

The Quero-Quero store is set to expand even more in the southern region of Mato Grosso do Sul, with plans to extend to neighboring cities like Mundo Novo, which has 18,000 inhabitants. The expectation is that the network will inaugurate 70 stores by the end of the year and an additional 80 in 2022.

Differentiation of the Quero-Quero Network

In addition to serving various sectors, from the start of construction to finishing, the store offers credit facilities with its own card. According to the CEO, around 25% of sales are from furniture and the remaining 75% are from civil construction.

The store sells everything from bricks and cement to sofas, cell phones, and refrigerators. The network has its own payment method, with a unique card that can be used both inside and outside the company. 60% of its sales are made through the company card, which is a significant differentiator compared to other companies in the civil construction sector. The products are also highly updated and new in the market, contributing to the company’s reputation.
