Renewable Energy Market, Women Fill About 32% Of Job Openings
A survey conducted last year by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) on gender perspective indicates that women hold about 32% of job openings in the renewable energy sector. When analyzed in the oil and gas segment, this value drops to 22% of total job openings.
Regarding positions in the renewable energy market, 45% of women hold administrative roles. On the issue of salaries, 60% of men claim that there is pay equality between women and men compared to 29% of women. According to the survey, greater female participation in the renewable energy sector would ensure a balanced distribution of socioeconomic opportunities for the global energy transformation.
