Specialist Technician Maintenance II – Pelletizing Maintenance – Ferrous

For this job position, candidates must have a technical course in mechanics or electromechanics with an active CFT. Candidates should have experience in opening, closing, and handling Oms in SAP, splice techniques, and conveyor belt exchange and repairs, as well as proficiency in the Office suite.

Vale Mining Company Becomes the Most Valuable Company in Latin America, Surpassing Petrobras and Ambev

Vale mining company, one of the largest global producers of iron ore, surpasses Brazilian oil company Petrobras and Ambev – the largest beverage manufacturer in the world, and exceeds the mark of 100 billion dollars in market value, solidifying its position as the most valuable company in Latin America.

According to a survey conducted by the consulting firm Economática, Vale closed the trading session valued at US$ 103.8 billion last Tuesday, the 27th, being over US$ 20 billion ahead of Argentine e-commerce giant Mercado Livre, the second place.

According to Economática, since surpassing the Argentine company, the Brazilian miner has continued to gain positions in relation to its competitors in Latin America, which are Mercado Livre, valued at US$ 80 billion, and in third place the American retailer Wal-Mart, valued at US$ 56 billion.

Vale’s Iron Ore Dams Are at Risk of Rupture and Have Operations Halted by the STJ

Vale suspended operations at the Brucutu iron ore dam and Jangada Mine last Thursday (04/22), by order of the STJ, following the decision by the State Secretary for Environment and Sustainable Development of Minas Gerais (Semad) to suspend the Provisional Operation Authorization (APO) of the former and the Operating License (LO) of the latter, which is located in the same area as the Córrego do Feijão Mine in Brumadinho.

According to a statement released by Vale mining company, the existence of a public action filed by the Public Ministry of the State of Minas Gerais and Semad also contributed to the decision. Semad informed that the Laranjeiras Dam has had its authorizations suspended by the environmental agency since Tuesday and that the process is under judicial secrecy.
