US Rejects Claims of Iranian Missile Attacks on USS Abraham Lincoln Aircraft Carrier and Asserts That the Vessel Remains Operational.

The US denied on Sunday (1st) that the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln was targeted by attacks with Iranian missiles in the Middle East.

The information was released by the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), which stated that the projectiles fired did not hit or come close to the vessel.

The incident occurred amid escalating tensions with Iran in the Gulf, where the ship operates.

According to American military officials, the aircraft carrier remains active and is carrying out strategic missions in the region specifically to counter threats.

US Rebuts Accusations and Talks About Disinformation

According to CENTCOM, the narrative released by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard does not correspond to the facts.

Military officials classified the allegations of attacks as false and reinforced that no US Navy ship sustained damage.

Additionally, the missiles fired by Tehran “did not come close” to the USS Abraham Lincoln, according to the official American version.

Iran Claims Ballistic Missile Attack

On the other hand, the Revolutionary Guard declared that it conducted attacks, claiming to have launched four ballistic missiles at the USS Abraham Lincoln.

The Iranian version was widely covered by the country’s state media, but there was no independent confirmation of the facts, raising doubts about the veracity of the information.

USS Abraham Lincoln Aircraft Carrier Continues Operating Normally

Even in light of the allegations, the US assures that the USS Abraham Lincoln remains fully operational.

The aircraft carrier continues launching aircraft in support of military operations in the Middle East, considered essential for the American deterrence and defense strategy in the region.

The USS Abraham Lincoln is one of the main aircraft carriers of the Nimitz class and plays a central role in the military reinforcement of the US.

The vessel operates modern fighters, such as the F-35, and is part of a naval group equipped with advanced missile systems, reinforcing the American presence in a context of increasing geopolitical instability.
